Hi Ricardo,
The background colors of the cover use the standard colors of openSUSE and therefore if i put the logo without a diferent background color then its not easy recognised. For that reason the plain white gecko is there (it can be a white circle too or something like that if wanted).
Just check a test of the cover without the white background behind the logo
http://ragecryx.googlepages.com/openSUSE_11.2_DVDWrap_NEW_testest.png
Only "SUSE" is 100% visible, the rest of the logo "blends" with the background colors.

George Koutsikos

Hi Raul,
Not everyone reads Roman alphabets. The Japanese, Arabs and Chinese
(like me) may prefer to read in their native language.
No point handing out cards in a language the receiver may not understand.
Just a thought.

One thing this KDE discussion brings up is this: It's been a long time
since we've had a user survey.
The previous survey can be found here:
http://files.opensuse.org/opensuse/en/e/ec/Survey_openSUSE110.pdf
Any suggestions to modify some of the questions, add new ones, get rid
of old ones? (i.e., is it relevant or not to ask "why do you use a
dual-boot system"?)
Please get me suggestions by end of next week (August 7)
Typically we do these infrequently after releases, but I think we
should probably be doing them at least every 12 months, which means
we're soon overdue.
Best,
Zonker

Hi guys,
Sorry if this has already been discussed, but is there any public
transport to the conference venue? I tried looking on the public
transport company's website, but I can't seem to get hold of the
location. The fact that the site is half english, half german doesn't
help. So, does anyone knows if there is a train/bus to that location
or we must have a car?
Thanks,
Andrei

Hello Mates,
the Weekly News Editors Team has reviewed your Posts. Few Weeks ago
we've made an Call for Contribution, with the Question, what we can make
better.
The first Thing was, that we could make our Weekly News more Interesting
for People who are reading the Mailinglists and planetSUSE regularly.
And another Guy said, that we have every Issue the same People. So i've
added more Sources in my Ticker like Linux.com, CNET and other
Project/feeds. The next Step was to find some Writers who can deliver
regularly Status Reports from other Projects. So we have Lydia Pintscher
(PR from Amarok Project) and we have published their Article in the
"Projects Corner."
An other Guy wished some articles "behind the horizon". That we realized
in the issue 81 through adding Articles about Google Chrome (OS) and
Microsofts Driver.
Another Guy wished to have an Downloadlink for every Program in
"New/Updated Software". That is realized in #81 too. Then we tried to
give for every Program an short Introducting.
The other Things who are wished, are WIP. We thinking about realizing.
The more in articles means an higher workload, so we're trying to reduce
the workflow. The Articles must translated to native Languages, and must
be published.
So Jan had the Idea, that we make the public release from the Weekly
News in english at Saturday. From Saturday on the Translators have
enough time to translate. And the Weekly News in the Native Language are
published if its ready.
Through our Subpage ISSUENR/Translations the Reader can see which
Language are ready.
What's you meaning?

Hi people!
I gave some DVDs to brazilian local media(State/Province:RS) - RBS and
people will do a promotion of openSUSE 11.1 LiveDVDs.
Its a small marketing, but its a nice beginning.
