Hi,
www.opensuse.org has a pretty huge banner to advertise the conference in
July. Well, there is nothing wrong with that in general but what about
reducing the height until a few weeks after the 12.3 release? Just to
make sure the conference banner doesn't dominate the screen when the hot
topic is the release?

I was sent an 'invitation' over Google Plus. I have officially sent a
request for a proper invite. Who has gone to this before? Lets discuss
so I'll know what I'm doing to rep us if I am going.

Good news, everyone*!
The first full draft of our 12.3 feature list is online:
https://en.opensuse.org/Features_12.3
I could really use some help with fact checking, categorization (some stuff
ain't in the right place yet), adding of screenshots and general
improvements...
Please, if you can - help by removing/fixing factually incorrect things,
adding what's missing etc. Comments mailed to me work too but, as it's a
wiki, I prefer if you just edit away...
Note that this feature list will be the base for our announcement, our top
features on the Portal page and so on. So it should at the very least be
correct!
Hugs,
Jos

Sehr geehrtes openSuse Team,

Heya,
I went over the current state of the feature guide. I miss some things
still:
* secureboot
* write about Digikam 3.0
* Get info about what’s new in firefox, versions 14-18 and thunderbird 14-17
(from their website)
* Rekonq 0.9.2 - 2.0
* around openSUSE?
* Other
and the server- and virtualization part, the 'around openSUSE' and the
'Other' section have not been done yet - version number changes are there
but that's it :(
If anyone is able/willing to try and add things, please do:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/10lJiXWILtopZaiajoEH14NfFNE-ThZAdwygg5No…
Remember, info can be taken from http://michal.hrusecky.net/tmp/packages.txt
I want to start making 'pretty text' tomorrow with Will (help with that is
welcome too, of course). I really hope one or more of you can find a little
time to help with this. Esp the server and Virtualization part, but also
'around openSUSE'!
Pretty please?
Hugs,
Jos
Hi,
Google Summer of Code has been announced by Google. It ime to start
promoting it, so as to get awesome student contributors. We already
have 3 posters ready to promote GSoC at various events. I would like
to ask the board how much funds can be allocated towards promotion
(Printing of Posters, Goodies etc)
As we have a very short time, we need a quick decision on this. Hoping
for a quick response ;)

Heya,
It would be great if a few of the people on this list would have a look at
http://en.opensuse.org/Portal:12.3 and fix it up a little... Add some of the
things from the 12.2 portal, for example. And some nice pics maybe? I've
added the screenshot section now ;-)
Ideas?
/Jos
