Hello friends,
A long time ago asked zonker for a collection with the events for the
next year. So that he can plan the budget.
I begun to edit this site
http://en.opensuse.org/Ambassador/Events#Events_for_Ambassadors
First I killed the table with "Need Ambassadors". Think everyone can see
when the field "Ambassador" is empty that there is noone that support
this event. For better visibility I marked the empty events red.
I added two new fields: Page in the Wiki - that are the pages for
planning the event ;) and Presentation. Please fill in - visiting a
event is not really present openSUSE there ;)
I moved the table 2010 over 2009, think the year is nearly over ;)
Now I filled the table with the events in Germany, Austria and
Switzerland.
There are lot more of events! The Linuxwochen in Austria have 3 or 4
events more but I dont know the exactly date for them at this time.
There are not all events filled in, there are more events in North and
South America and Asia. So please fill in them.
We should use this page more, I dont know this week is foss.in in India
is there aopenSUSE Ambassador?

Guys,
I know it only three month late, but I have a date with the Atlanta
Linux User Group, for an openSUSE 11.2 party. I like to make a request
for 50 or 100 DVD if possible and any other swag I can get. I am
planning to give the group food and drinks (Cokes) to help promote
this. I will post it on the calendar and facebook page and promote it.
Thanks,
Chuck "PUP" Payne

Have you tried SUSE Studio? Need to create a Live CD, an app you want
to package and distribute , or create your own linux distro. Give SUSE
Studio a try.

Hi,
I have seen that you need translators according to this page :
http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Jobs
I am a computer science student, I have already an engineering diploma
and I am doing research in France.
I can speak Arabic, French and English efficiently, and some little German.
How can I apply for translating "Weekly News" page and what are
details about this program ?
Thanks,

Hi Weekly News Team mates and translators,
Recently, we made a current issue page for Weekly News which always
redirects to the latest issue and improved the block for Weekly News on
Wiki top page.
According to this improvement, some of the $LANG.o.o Wiki top pages have
been revised already, but the formats are vary ATM.
So I curiously made the template for that.
http://en.opensuse.org/User:HeliosReds/Documentations/Template_for_Wiki_Top…
If you like it, how about translating this to your language and using it
for your $LANG Wiki top pages ?
Best,
