There have been numerous complaints about the update to Plasma 6. I believe many of them can be avoided by logging on to IceWM and doing the zypper dup operation. Then reboot and things appear to be normal. YMMV but it's worth a try. You can select the IceWM @ the normal KDE logon in the lower left corner. Hope this helps somebody avoid the mess....

I have some rules that work, and one that doesn't. Then it moves them to a folder named 'temp_g' But it is moving 148 mails, many of which have a different List-Id header, or no such header at all. I don't know what is going on, or where to ask (not on github, nobody answers there). It is a very intersting tool, but it is useless to me if it misbehaves like this. Audacity VS 'locale'?

3rd-party app messing with initrd

For $WORK, I was asked to install a new VPN software (Zscaler). Like many such things, the "linux support" is a mixed bag - it seems to assume that one is running certain systemd things, and a gnome desktop (which I am not). Suffice it to say, the "expected behavior" didn't happen, so I went digging in /var/log, and found the install log... which showed that a) the installer was clever enough to zypper install a bunch of packages b) it called dracut to re-write an initrd. This seems more than a little "rude" to do on a system. plasma6 - Se7en theme

Hi *, I'd like to use the Se7en theme, that is available for plasma6 from the KDE store (https://store.kde.org/p/1407086) I tried to install it via systemsettings. The installation didn't fail, according to systemsettings the theme is installed, but it is not available - and it can't be found on disk in ./.local/share/plasma/desktoptheme. Any idea, what might be wrong here? System is openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240314 with plasma6 and X11. TIA. Bye. Michael.

chromium and h.264 codec in 15.5

Hi, I'm a little confused about the h.264 codec and chromium in 15.5. I can play the video from https://html5videoplayer.net/html5video/mp4-h-264-video-test/ in both chromium-119.0.6045.199-bp155.1917.5.x86_64 and firefox-esr-115.6.0-lp155.1.1.x86_64. But when I try to join a webex meeting with chromium, it tells me "Video and shared content not supported by browser settings Activate the H.264 video codec in your browser settings so people can see your video and shared content and you can see other videos and shared content." Firefox works fine. chromium also says "not supported" on https://mozilla.github.io/webrtc-landing/pc_test_no_h264.html while Firefox says "supported". I've installed chromium-ffmpeg-extra from packman and added rpms from http://codecs.opensuse.org/openh264/openSUSE_Leap/x86_64/ but it doesn't change anything.
