Next in line is Bugzilla. Bugzilla is particularly tricky since we (openSUSE and SUSE) on the one hand and Micro Focus (Novell,...) on the other all share one database instance. Part of the carve out is to surgically separate openSUSE and SUSE issues from the rest. => BUGZILLA IS GOING TO BE UNAVAILABLE from Thursday, May 7th 14:00 UTC (16:00 CEST, 8am MDT) until Sunday, May 10th. During that period the current (= old) instance should not show openSUSE and SUSE projects/products any longer, and reporting of new issues should not be feasible. When the new instance is up and running it will look and feel like today, just reside in a SUSE data center (and only carry openSUSE and SUSE bugs). [opensuse] Weird Wifi connection issue on Leap

Hi, On one of my systems running Leap 15.1 I have a weird issue with connecting the system to Wifi networks that I however haven't really been able to pin down precise enough to feel confident in writing a bug report. When trying to connect to a WLAN after system start the connection will fail and a pop-up will appear that asks for the WPA password. Now, no matter how often I enter the correct password in that dialog, connection will still fail. However, if I cancel the connection, wait for a couple of seconds and then press the connect button in the KDE Network Manger, the connection will succeed, using the password that had been stored for that connection all time long. Also, if I remove the configuration for the network and connection from the KDE network manger, the password will be prompted in the network selection screen, not in the pop-up window, and connection will work right away. Weirdly, I only observe this issue on one of my systems. The only thing special about that system is that I messed up when ordering it and it thus is powered by an RTL8821CE-based Wifi adapter which I use via a kernel module ported over from Endless OS [1]. However, as the connection works without issue if "manually" connecting to the network, I fail to see how the driver could be at fault here. Any idea on what I could look at to further pin down the issue? [opensuse] mkiss kernel module missing

Hi - I don't normally wander anywhere near the kernel software so please forgive my ignorance. I am running OpenSuSE Leap 15.1 (recently upgraded) on a system that I use in connection with my ham radio hobby. I am trying to get the ax.25 communication layer going over an RS232 link and the software I use is complaining that the mkiss kernel module is missing. In the past I think this was simply included in the default kernel module so I don't understand why it doesn't seem to be playing nice anymore. Has it been moved to a separate package and if so how do I find it and get it installed? YaST and other tools don't seem to have a clue... Google ain't helping either! Any help would be greatly appreciated! (and please don't simple tell me what I need to do, I am venturing into unknown territory here, so actual commands and examples, like pictures, are worth a thousand words!) [opensuse] vncviewer and displayless remote

Hi I am using vncviewer to connect to an openSUSE (42.3) system that does not have a connected display/keyboard/mouse. Generally it works very well. I access the desktop that would have been seen on the remote system if it had a display. But I would not just be posting a happy 'it's working' message (even if I think they are not a bad thing...). Now would I. The size of the local window with the desktop is whatever size the remote X thinks it's display is. When there is no display attached, it uses some default smaller size. Probably 800x600 or something like that. Is it possible to tell X what the resolution should be when no display is found? Of course I would like the discovery when a display is attached to be done. This is just when X starts without a display, or is otherwise unable to determine the display size to use. I have looked at these types of things: https://askubuntu.com/questions/453109/add-fake-display-when-no-monitor-is-… Setting it with xrandr would always override the resolution whatever any real display indicated. I want it to be when no display is detected. [opensuse] running wordpress on Leap 15.1

Hi all, I'm running wordpress on two Leap 15.1 systems, but (from the built in health check in WP 5.4): "Your site is running an older version of PHP (7.2.5) PHP is the programming language used to build and maintain WordPress. Newer versions of PHP are faster and more secure, so staying up to date will help your site’s overall performance and security. The minimum recommended version of PHP is 7.3." I can't simply add the obs phpo7 and extensions/php7 repos, since several extensions in there don't work properly right now - namely the redisd, memcached, and geoip ones. Any ideas? No, not going to build php from source locally.
