[opensuse] KRDC issues after upgrading Tumbleweed

I've been using KRDC for over a year now without any issues, but after upgrading Tumbleweed this past Tuesday, none of my remote desktop connections work anymore -- Windows 7, 2003, 2008, or 2012. I can't find any logs or debugging options for KRDC, and running it directly from the command line doesn't turn up anything to the console. All that happens is when you try to open up a connection, the screen flashes blue for a half second, and then closes again. Is there any way to troubleshoot what's going on? [opensuse] sg_utils - sg_turs command in Leap broken or is my script broken?

I have this little script that shows my problem. It is broke or is sg_turs broken? #!/bin/bash sg_turs /dev/sr0 > /dev/null RDY=$? echo "RDY = ${RDY}" This script always says the sg_turs commands exit status is 0. Even with the door open and no disk installed. The man page for the sg_turs command says: EXIT STATUS The exit status of sg_turs is 0 when it is successful (e.g. in the case of a mechanical disk, it is spun up and ready to accept commands). For this utility the other exit status of interest is 2 corresponding to the "not ready" sense key. For other exit status values see the sg3_utils(8) man page. [opensuse] grub2-mkconfig fails with error 127

Hi all, Not sure if my situation is unique to my hardware, but no matter how I try to install (from a live usb) open leap 15 I receive the same error when the install tries to configure grub2 The first lines are similar to grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg Failed error 127 There are several lines where a os-prober issued blkid command not found and a final line where in /etc/grub.d/80-… btrfs is command not found. However I chrootted in to root and ran the same command with no error (and subsequently it now boots). Is this a known issue or have I stumbled upon a unique hardware issue? Thanks! [opensuse] Leap 15 - How to fix FF 60 text box size (make smaller)

All, On Leap 15 with FF 60, the text boxes/input boxes are twice their normal height which is pushing information off my weather page. In the screenshot below, all of the text display boxes were the *same height* as the [Reset] button in the middle with FF 52.8, http://paste.opensuse.org/6890226 but now the text boxes are all twice the normal size: http://paste.opensuse.org/95756919 How do I fix this? It literally effect every text or input box regardless of the theme I choose. -- David C. [opensuse] btrfs-balance.sh locked my computer for 15+ minutes

Hi, So far I'm happy with Leap 15.0. The system felt stable in the last few days. But when I tried to login today, the system was very sluggish. It took me a couple of minutes to start atop and figure out what's going on. btrfs-balance.sh locked my computer for 15+ minutes I'm not sure whether this is a new script with Leap 15 or whether it was already in 42.3 or maybe disable. So I let it run once. When I started it again manually, it ran less than a second. But I would prefer it btrfs balance wouldn't freeze the system. Should I open a bug report with suse? [opensuse] Leap 15 and Teamviewer 12 incompatibility

Hi ! I just found that upgrade from Leap 42.3 to 15.0 breaks Teamviewer 12 compatibility. Verified on 2 PCs. Teamviewer GUI simply fails to launch (in terminal "launching GUI" freezes forever). Anyone have a fix to this issue? Teamviewer 13 works fine, however, in this particular case this is not an option. [opensuse] Leap 42 3 kernel update to 4.4.132 failed?

All, I had not seen this one before, upon zypper up -r update, the update to 4.4.132 failed with: (36/49) Installing: kernel-default-4.4.132-53.1.x86_64 .....................................................[error] Installation of kernel-default-4.4.132-53.1.x86_64 failed: Error: Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: warning: %post(kernel-default-4.4.132-53.1.x86_64) scriptlet failed, signal 2 Which left the box unbootable. Thankfully I still have the .126 kernel that was fine, so I booted 126 and reinstalled all kernel rpms, e.g. rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs --replacefiles (the list of noarch & x86_64 packages, devel packages and kernel sources. The install succeeded the 2nd time. What 'scriptlet' is it saying failed with signal 2? And what could cause such a failure? -- David C.
