[opensuse] Sign of a Failing SD Card?

Hello, I have an SD card that is giving me trouble. I had Fedora 25 ARM on it before it stopped responding. I noticed it when I could no longer SSH to the Raspberry Pi. I plugged in a monitor and received an error when running any command I tried (I'm afraid I forgot to write it down). On reboot it would fail into a recovery console. When running fsck on the card I receive gobs of errors on the main partition. Below is a sample of the errors, there are many many more, all the same just the blocks change. Is this the sign of a failing card? I reformatted once and reinstalled Fedora, but only about a week later I noticed the same problem. I ran fsck.ext -y and it took a few minutes to churn through. No errors were printed at the end. I'm planing on putting openSUSE Leap on next to try out since I'm enjoying it on my laptop, but I'm not sure if I should grab a new card prior to doing so. bryon@blaptop:~> sudo fsck.ext4 /dev/mmcblk0p4 e2fsck 1.42.11 (09-Jul-2014) _/ contains a file system with errors, check forced. [opensuse] Thunderbird and archived mail broken?

One of the nice things about Thunderbird is the ability to archive mail locally. I have used it in the past when it worked well. Not any more! I am using TB 45.6 in Leap 42.2 with KDE Frameworks. I have two accounts, one IMAP and one gmail. I have set the IMAP account to archive messages in the "Archives" folder in Local Folders, but it consistently ignores this setting and moves them into "Archives" on the IMAP server. The Mozilla help forum has been unhelpful, and googling hasn't provided a solution either. Does anyone on the list use this feature of Thunderbird? Have you come across this problem? [opensuse] 42.2 - Why don't icons stay put???

One thing I've noticed is that desktop icons have a bad habit of moving around after rebooting etc. At least in 13.1, they tended to stay put (but not always), if one properly logged out. Why do they move around in 42.2? In other operating systems I've worked with (Windows & OS/2), they always retained their position. [opensuse] Fans on Full Speed or not at all (Leap 42.2 Fresh install)

Oldish (ok, ancient) laptop, Dell Insperion 9400 with new install onto SSD. Since the update of last Monday, fans come on full speed even at low-ish temps of 34C. Fans are either full speed or none at all. When I first installed 42.2 I don't remember this being this way. My fans have several intermediate speeds. What changed, and how can I get back to stepped and managed fan speeds? [opensuse] Can't open Konqueror - Leap 42.2

I often use Konqueror, but today it failed to open. When I try to use it, I get an error message: "KDEInit could not launch 'ksystraycmd': Could not open library 'libkdeinit5_ksystraycmd'. Cannot load library libkdeinit5_ksystraycmd: (libkdeinit5_ksystraycmd: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)" When I search on ksystraycmd in Yast Software Management, the package kdebase4-workspace turns up and is shown as available, but if I try to install it, I get several conflict errors. I was used to see netstat -tulpn presenting postfix listening to port25 on my leap default install. Provided that was not "ab-normal" this has gone. [opensuse] BTRFS problems

Hey, I installed openSUSE Leap 42.2 with btrfs as root. Now, performing a btrfs balance or a snapper cleanup takes "ages" while there is no or little disk activity but btrfs or btrfs-transaction constantly hogs one CPU. The system becomes very unresponsive and even loses its WiFi connection. For the iwlwifi/mac layer there are warnings in the log like "DWARF2 unwinder stuck at ret_from_fork+...". But nothing for btrfs except one time there was a: "NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 22s! [btrfs:4090]" in "btrfs_qgroup_trace_extent_nolock+...". Any ideas? There is plenty of unallocated space (25 of 40 GiB).
