[opensuse] How do I switch from NetworkManager to wicked ?

I'm trying to $SUBJ using "yast lan", but when I have switched to wicked and exited yast, then go back in, it's still saying NetworkManager. [opensuse] Plymouth splash failure on 13.2-x64 Intel

Hello, Wonder if others using a Sandy-bridge Intel video card (i915) is having same Plymouth boot splash dark screen with the three ??? question marks dots. I tried all the possible solutions found by Googling but the issue continues. The problem has raised recently, I suspect caused by some package updates. [opensuse] mariadb command line - pageup/down not working ?

With the mysql command line shell, one is able to use pageup/down to search through command history and find a previous command matching the input, just like in the unix shell. I've installed opensuse 13.2 in a minimal server config. It boots with GRUB2+UEFI. I've set up text only boot. Currently the console display appears to be 1024x768. That's large for my taste. I want to reduce the text size to take advantage of my 1920x1080 monitor. [opensuse] Why no IPv4 link local address?

I just tried an experiment to see if a pair of computers, running openSUSE, could connect via IPv4 link local addresses. In Windows, when DHCP fails, it reverts to a link local address in the 169.254.0.0/16 range. This makes it possible to connect two computers with just an Ethernet cable or ad hoc WiFi connection. However, I've found that openSUSE does not do this, though IPv6 link local works. Any idea why reverting to IPv4 link local was not implemented?
