[opensuse] CUPS long user name and long printer name fails to print

We have a user with a 22 character user name. They can print to all the printers except one. That printer has a an 9 character name. The printer in question is a Ricoh MPC5502 however there is another printer of the same type with a 7 character name which works fine. The user can print to any of the other dozen printers ( with short names ) OK. All the other users can print to all printers OK Recreating the users with a fresh home directory doesn't work but creating a new user with a shorter username works 22 character username + 7 character printer name works 22 character username + 9 character printer name doesn't 16 character username + 9 character printer name work ( 22 char username format = aaaaaaa.bbbbbbbb-ccccc 16 char username format = aaaaaaa.bbbbbbbb ) This is openSUSE 13.1 - The CUPS server runs PaperCut but removing that doesn't make any difference. [opensuse] moving imap server

Hello, I have to move an imap server from 11.4 to 13.1. I have the old server on a computer and at least one important account I don't want to brake. I have the new server completely configured and working. I have two concerns: * messages are sometime hanging in the wild (/var/spool; for example) * dns propagation takes some time, so I can't move instantly at the moment I want. I use postfix, dovecot, squirrelmail. What I do usually is to rsync the home contents (I already have duplicated the users accounts and passwords), the /var/spool content and change the dns zone to reflect the new server. but, being imap, I wonder if I couldn't have both servers running with the same mail content (of course with different domain names)? of course I can add an alias on the present server to copy mail to the new one. Hi, it seems, that Czech front page of openSUSE wiki has been hacked, see http://cs.opensuse.org/V%C3%ADtejte_na_openSUSE.org but English and another language versions I tried seem OK. Interesting. [opensuse] Something fishy at Truecrypt

Hi, I am using openSUSE 13.1 KDE version. I am always getting the slow internet connection.
