[opensuse] VirtualBox Guest Additions in oS 13.1

I am trying to add the VirtualBox Guest additions to openSUSE 13.1, running in VirtualBox on openSUSE 12.3. The additions were not automatically added during install of the oS 13.1 guest. I have added the packages that should be added, but I get the following error when I run VBoxLinuxAdditions.run from the VirtualBox 4.2.6 ISO image that VirtualBox downloads: ERROR: Kernel configuration is invalid. include/generated/autoconf.h or include/config/autoconfig are missing Run 'make oldconfig && make prepare' on kernel src to fix it. In fact, these files do exist. But I ran the make commands (in the guest machine, of course) without error, and the error persists. I ran the commands in /usr/src/linux-3-11-6-4-obj/i386/desktop, which is where the VB log said it was when it encountered the error. Maybe I would be better off just installing what is needed from OBS? [opensuse] claws-mail 3.9.2: Getting readable non-ASCII subject line

OpenSuSE-12.3 Claws-Mail 3.9.2 (claws-mail-3.9.2-2.4.1.i586) The subject line is unreadable when it's text is not ASCII. Is there a reliable way to persuade claws-mail to correctly render the subject into readable text? Would you know a tool on openSUSE, for printing C/C++ program in a clever way ? For programming using the latest stable Qt5 (not Qt4) (that is Qt 5.2 now) without downloading from Qt , which repository should I use : http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt5/ ? http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt52/ ? What does the first one contains ? [opensuse] Print to file of web page - links?

This isn't just a firefox question ... I'm in firefox and want to do a bit more than just bookmark the page. Who knows, it might not be there when I come back! So I can save it as an HTML... Or I can cave it using a plug-in in a more condensed format Or I can print it ... But what if the links aren't explicit? Or I can print to file... But if I print to file as PDF the links, while highlighted, aren't preserved. Why not? If I create a document using LibreOffice and save that as a PDF the links I may have in there _are_ preserved. Jim, JA Thank you for your replies, I'll evaluate each. I am always torn with regard to buying a box-set or building my own. There are some many fantastic open-source projects out there, I just figured there must be a security system monitoring project somewhere. If not, how hard could it be? Take a couple of camera feeds (there has to be some basic interface to them) write a small app to capture a frame per second or two and perhaps a compressed continual audio stream (size permitting) and just record the information on an existing server. Perhaps get fancy and provide an interface where you could mux the feeds 2-up or 4-up,etc.. and be done with it for the price of the cameras. However, I'm starting from an empty pool of knowledge regarding camera capabilities, interfaces, the works, so it will be interesting to see what is out there. I'll post a write-up when I get done digesting the information. If anybody else has any thoughts on this type of setup please let me know. Thanks. -- David C.
