Somewhere through a memory problem I am stuck with a konsole like grub boor menu. How can I get the colored grub menu back. Still working with grub. [opensuse] zypper issue with patterns-openSUSE-minimal_base-conflicts-12.3-7.10.1.x86_64 How to solve?

When I try to install osc, zypper is complaining it can't because it needs python and python conflicts with patterns-openSUSE-minimal_base-conflicts-12.3-7.10.1.x86_64 I don't recall ever seeing that before, can I just uninstall it? == details I just rented a VM with a pre-installed openSUSE 12.3 distro. I've had it for a couple days and it has done what little I've tried, but I decided to try out "osc" and it won't let me install it due to a conflict? [opensuse] VM: dhclient failing since recent zypper up?

All, On a VM running OS 12.3 I have network:utilities as a repo I did a zypper up yesterday in that VM and now dhclient is failing == dhclient ls: cannot access /var/run/netconfig//eth0/: No such file or directory == And indeed /var/run/netconfig is empty in my VM. Anyone else seeing this? dhclient -v eth0 is more informative, but isn't telling _me_ anything: Since my network isn't up I did a screen capture from the host and the image is attached. Thanks Greg

[opensuse] Segmentation fault

Today after a big update, I was surprised with a segmentation fault after I started Software Management in Yast. The information shown is: YaST got signal 11 at YCP file /usr/share/YaST2/clients/sw_single.ycp:138 /sbin/yast2: line 431: 4549 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS Also every zypper command ends with segmentation fault. [opensuse] fontinfo of M17N:fonts

Hi list, I would like to introduce fontinfo whose testing version currently runs on http://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/pgajdos/ Note that the contents was generated 2013-05-15, so not everything is in sync with current M17N:fonts, so things like 1-click install will not work for every font package. I will to appreciate any feedback. For example, do you think it is worth to expose it somewhere on opensuse.org? Thanks! Petr

[opensuse] changing rtf document text size in libreoffice

Hello: I have an rtf (rich text format) document. If I open it with OOorg 3.1 or LO 3.4 the normal text font size is 10pt, and the sub/superscript font size is 8pt. I would like to increase normal font size to 12 and sub/superscript font size to 9 or 10. If I select the text and change the font size it changes all fonts without respecting sub/superscript's smaller sizes. I tried to change the text's style but it seems it is not possible to set normal and sub/superscript fonts for one style. Is it not possible to make this conversion in LO/OOo? To set again all sub/superscripts manually one by one would be really tedious.
