[opensuse] Cyrus / Postfix: TLS - disable certificate authentication

Hi, I have a Cyrus IMAP and Postfix running. Some time ago, I configured them for TLS. Recently, I started to use also Thunderbird on those and Thunderbird is asking me on startup which certificate to use for identification. I don't use any certificate authentication, neither for IMAP, nor for SMTP. [opensuse] postfix problems openSUSE 13.1

Rebuilt crashed server from scratch to 13.1 and made a mess of postfix. Currently have functional postfix, I can send and receive, but access blocks and rbl lookups/blocks are not happening and I have been unable to determine why. I have twice return to the bare postfix main.cf and set base system using yast, but adding access blocks and/or rbl blocks to main.cf appears to have no effect. Yes, after editing I restart postfix and also run postmap first if warranted. [opensuse] Remote audio problem

Hi, I'm setting up a media machine, currently using oS12.3. It is attached to my TV as a monitor and the Hi-Fi for audio output. When I log in directly, all works as expected. When I log in remotely with ssh -X user@host from my main machine however, I can run my chosen audio player (clementine) but when trying to play any audio I get a "Connection refused" error unless the user is also logged in on the media box. This rather defeats the object of running the audio player remotely. How can I make the audio server (pulse) available with no logged in users on the media server (only the ssh -X connection)? [opensuse] zypper/rpm tricks question

Hello all, Does anybody know how to perform the following queries with rpm: How to use zypper/rpm to show which packages are an orphan package ? How to use zypper/rpm to show which package has a newer version than the ones that are available in the current enabled repositories ? And lastly, When you issue the command zypper ps, you get a list of processes that are using libraries that are no longer in use, does anybody know how to perform the same trick without using zypper ? [opensuse] Kmail2 /Nepomuk problem

After rebooting my kmail starts normal but every time gives following information: Nepomuk Semantic Desktop needs the Virtuoso RDF server to store its data. Installing the Virtuoso Soprano plug-in is mandatory for using Nepomuk. Looked into yast but there seems noplugin available to satisfy nepomuk. Did I miss something? [opensuse] ipv6 enablement required to forward X in 13.1

Putting finishing touches on a replacement server with 13.1 and found that I cannot "ssh -X <my-server> -l me" and have access to X w/o having ipv6 enabled in yast netowrk. [opensuse] libreoffice 3.3 in openSUSE 12.2 -- no duplex printing in LO 3.6, 4.1

Hello: I would like to go back to LibreOffice 3.3, the last decently working LO version. Despite of the UI changes (removing indication of text boundaries), LO 3.6 and 4.1 does not print duplex pages. Even if I select duplex--long side, LO disregards the setting. Duplex works fine in Adobe Reader. This is an unacceptable bug which has not been fixed for more than a year. How could I install LO version 3.3 in openSUSE 12.2? [opensuse] Thunderbird 24 - folder pane has gray transparent overlay - how to turn off

All, Wolfgang, I Updated from thunderbird 17 to thunderbird 24 and the folder-pane (left side window containing mail accounts and mail folders) looks like it has a gray-transparent overlay. The color of the folder pane background (with my theme) is #4B4B4B. My thunderbird uses the default theme, but the background color set in about:config is dark (#090D14) with white text. This gray overlay in TB 24 makes my account and folder names very hard to read since the text is white. How do I turn this off? I have searched colors in about:config and I cannot find a way to turn this overlay off. I have downgraded back to TB 17 to get a readable setup back. How do I turn this shading of the folder-pane off in TB 24? -- David C.
