[opensuse] obscure lib- dependancy

Hi all, I'm trying to use a "foreign" binary lib onto my suse machine. when i put the lib on exactly the same place (/usr/lib64/....) the relevant applications, like openvpn and pkcs11-tools, works without a hitch. So far so good. next i tried to build a simple package around it, in order to get it installed on other machines aswell; but then i ran into something strange. Even on the machine where the lib is perfectly working, the installer complains about a dependancy, eventhough ldd indicates that all seems OK. I don't remember who posted it but I want to try and set it up ......... Meaning, having TB filters for all the people I know and have the rest go to a Junk / Unknown folder for review. I've got the first part working (all the people I know) - how do I get the rest to go to an Junk / Unknown folder ? [opensuse] X segfaults when we open Firefox or Chromium

I've just helped a friend set up his system on openSUSE12.3. The hardware is i7-3770, NVIDIA GTX 670, MSI GD65 motherboard, 16GB RAM. Software is a complete default 12.3 install with KDE4 and updates. We added packman, Mozilla, Libreoffice, and nvidia repos, and updated again. Next we installed Chromium and Pepper Flash. Post updates, we verified that the NVIDIA drivers (319.32) were installed and working. Then, with no other desktop setting changes or applications installed, we opened Firefox, and X crashed immediately. Logged back in and tried Chomium... which also crashed X after opening a website (specifically the Skype website). Troubleshooting included deleting the /home/$USER/.mozilla and /home/$USER/.local/chromium directories. [opensuse] Per-application (window) keyboard layout switch in GNOME3?

[opensuse] Original INITRD_MODULES....

Stupid me, I forgot to comment out and to copy the original INITRD_MODULES line the /etc/sysconfig/kernel and just changed it. Now I have the problem that a module is not loaded which causes the display to stay in a relative low resolution during and after boot. It is also the reason that when switching from console to X-window, the X-window freezes for some seconds. Is there a way to rebuild the contents using the initrd file? [opensuse] spamd and mail loops

On openSUSE 12.3 I run postfix for local mail delivery, If I enable spamd (systemctl enable/start spamd), mail stops getting delivered. postfix complains that there are too many hops. So there is some sort of a loop when spamd is running. If I disable spamd all is okay again. So ultimately when my all of the work was being done from Windows, I still came here to invest the efforts (may be a little) but that was my tendency to use Linux! hi all, Anyone around here who knows about/has experimented with "cardpeek" ? Although it is a nice graphical tool, capable of showing the content of various smartcards, i would like to perform elementary test (from bash) on a visa card. I was wondering if i could get similar results by sending the appropriate APDU's with opensc-tool...
