[opensuse] No sound from apps M Audio 2496 on 11.4

On a new installation of 11.4 64 bit KDE desktopn with an M Audio 2496 soundcard I am not getting any sound output from any apps. neither do system sounds work. I have checked the mixer settings which are ok. and I can play a volume test from Yast and sound examples from the multimedia section of KDE system settings. The same box also has 11.3 installed and the sound is OK there. Whether Pulse Audio is enabled has no effect neither does running as root or another user. [opensuse] Looking for two RPMs for 10.3

I need to backport some software to openSUSE 10.3. As luck would have it, the only 10.3 system I can use has slightly newer versions of two packages than came with the original 10.2 distro. I need runtime/development RPMs for: glibmm2-2.16.1-19.2 libsigc++2-2.2.2-4.1 I looked at the suggestions in http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mirrors#EOL_Mirrors but these specific versions were nowhere to be found. I would also be happy with source RPMS for these versions and I could make my own installables. I see that they were built in the build service. So maybe there is hope someone has a copy. So, I am wondering if anyone just happens to have these RPMS hiding somewhere. [opensuse] How can one list available OpenGL extensions?

Hello, I would like to know which OpenGL extensions are supported by an installed system. Is there a program that lists them? I've googled, but found only the proprietary glview that's not available for Linux. The background of my question is that I'm replacing an older 11.1 workstation where VMware's 3D accelaration does not work since two OpenGL extensions are missing. I want to check on the new system if they are available with the onboard Intel graphics card and 11.4, or if I need to order an additional graphics card. [opensuse] okular crash on any pdf file
