[opensuse] sending mail of some users to another (internal) server?

Hi all, I am struggling with delivery of mails of some users to an Exchange box (yes I know, customers..) in the same location, so same network. ATM there is a postfix server accepting all mail from outside, delivering it in local mailboxes, or sending it on for a second relay_domain on another location. Also a relayhost is used for mail to the outside world. Some of the users are going to have to work with outlook, and in the network there is a SBS-machine doing this. I thought I could use an alias for the respective users as follows: ldb: \ldb, ldb(a)[192.168.1.1] (keeping the mail for the testing period, and deliver a mail on the IP of the exchnage machine). What happens is, that postfix is delivering the mail for [192.168.1.1] on the relayhost, routing it back outside, and the relayhost is not accepting it of course. [opensuse] No Mic in VIA VT1708S

Hello Mates, i've got a new PC (ASRock N68-S Board) with a VIA VT1708S Chip. My Headset is plugged in into the pc's backside. And i also tried the FrontMic. Sadly i can just hear, but the mic isn't useable. I've launched alsa-info.sh and i've placed it there: http://www.alsa- project.org/db/?f=ee9a92b31b4cecfff9c044e8026342fe6e35630e Has anyone experience with this Chip and has maybe a solution? [opensuse] Yikes... I can't read my own home page with opera on openSuSE 11,3???

I don't know if this is an OpenSuSE or an Opera thing but I don't have this problem on Xubuntu, Arch, Nor PCLinuxOS... So I'll start here... I just installed opera on OpenSuSE 11.3 (x86_64) In case it's something to do with a bad repository you can check out the attached zypper ar output. And anyway it's insisting on using a bizarre font for several pages including my own simple "local file" home page for which I never defined fonts or styles what so ever... I checked all the fonts listed in: tools->preferences->advanced->fonts and the closest thing to wierd was the setting for "font family fantasy" which was set to impact. which while I also find that hard to read didn't resemble the crappola I'm getting from opera. And anyway I changed that setting to Edmunds (which I have no problem reading) but it didn't have any effect. I tried going to: tools->preferences->advanced->content>style options->presentation mode And one at a time I tried switching between author and user mode as well as disabling "page fonts and colors". And when that didn't do anything I tried disabling "my fonts and colors". Nothing makes any difference. Forward this from the linux-xfs list, in hoping that decision-makers will consider XFS as the default suse OS install choice. It continually bests other file systems in optimized configuration performance tests and these new improvements sound like they only add more speed to the equation. For nearly all systems, disk speed is the bottle neck, so using the best solution possible should be strongly considered the default choice for all users -- regardless of 'political' concerns (which seem to often over-rule practicality, unfortunately). Linda p.s. I am not part of the xfs project. I've just used it with open suse (or previously, Suse) since ~ 2002 and have never regretted it. Current filesystem read rates using XFS are about 1GB/second on sustained multi-gigabyte reads. I'm pleased to state that using the experimental "delaylog" mount option (in vanilla linux-2.6.35) we measured a 17% performance increase for our benchmark scenario. (Other mount-options in use both before and after the "delaylog" option: noatime,nodiratime,nobarrier) That's a lot given that XFS was the fastest performing file-system for this application already. It's also a promising result regarding stability, as several other tests (using e.g. reiser4 or ceph) in the past led to crashes in the same benchmark scenario. So thanks to all contributing developers for this significant optimization! [opensuse] ndiswrapper for 2.6.35.1 - does it exist?

Guys, Troubleshooting 2.6.34 kernel ills, I installed 2.6.35 fro kernel:/head. To do so, I had to removed ndiswrapper and preload-kernel-kmp. Are there equivalent packages for the 2.6.35 kernel somewhere? I'd normally just do 'webpin ndiswrapper', but webpin still isn't working for me.... -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. [opensuse] Sound problems

Hi, I recently installed 11.3 on this laptop, and couldn't get the wireless to work. So, I reinstalled 11.1 before I left home on this business trip. I didn't reinstall skype before I left home, so I decided to install it today. I never could get it to work with pulseaudio before, and the sound didn't work with it today either. So I decided to uninstall pulseaudio and get it to work with alsa, like I did before. I ran alsaconf, and then used yast to configue my soundcard. Skype still doesn't work, but worse than that I lost sound in flash on firefox and opera. I want to start to fix this by getting the sound back in flash. I tried to reinstall flash, but that didn't help. Any ideas of what to do? [opensuse] charachter "è" and "é" make files not visible in a folder on NTFS partition

Hi everyone! After many tests i finally have found the cause of a folder in wich was invisibile any file or subfolder, this folder was resident on an NTFS partition and had a sub folder named "Michael Boublè", changing this in "Michael Bouble" (entering from windows) all other subfolders and files turned visible. I didn't try with the linux partition (ext4). [opensuse] Repo Server Broken: 'utexas.edu' has been broken for months - should be removed

Guys, The 'utexas.edu' mirror has been broken for months. Every time the redirector system selects this repo, your download craters. The throughput is less that 1k/sec such that even minor packages take hours to download, a kernel will take days. I have reported this mirror at least once before and it needs to be fixed or it needs to be eliminated from the system. At least I know how to hardcode my mirrors to avoid it, but new users will just think the system is broken if they get assigned this server. Today, I needed the 2.6.35 kernel from head so I simply rt-clicked the rpm and saved it. A few minutes later I check and only 400k had been downloaded when the entire download should have completed. Checking - sure enough it was the utexas.edu repo. You guys should know that a bunch of t'sips aren't competent enough to screw in a lightbulb much less run an openSuSE mirror. If you want a Texas mirror to run correctly contact the folks at tamu.edu and you can then rest assured of flawless performance. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
