Hi Listmates, I'm using openSUSE 11.2 (and 11.3 M7[0]) on ASUS EEEPC 1201T, the Wlan will work if having rtl8192se driver installed from driver:/Wireless repository and or from Realtek site[1]. 02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. [opensuse] Suspend to RAM doesn't work

Hello, I have opensuse 11.2 on Thinkpad R60 with latest KDE 4.4.3 packages... Few days ago suspend to ram stopped work. It locks screen and nothing else when I click to sleep (in KDE power management plugin)... var/log/messages contains only: Entering suspend. [opensuse] Novell Client for Linux 2.0 sp2 sle11 i586 on openSUSE 11.2

I have installed the RPMs in novell-client-2.0-sp2-sle11-i586.iso (downloaded from Novell), as well as CASA and libbfd on an openSUSYE 11.2 system. When I log in to KDE, I get a NCL icon in the system tray. When I try to do something with it, I get this in a popup window: Description : Cannot scan Connection References. Error:NWCCScanConnRefs: Code : FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFB Build : 1.0.0 File : ncpConnectionRefScanner.cpp Line : 79 Repository Version : $Revision: 2371 $ Then I can proceed to the NCL menu. However, login does not work. I fill in all the usual details and I get this message: "The system could not log you into the network. Make sure your name and connection information are correct, then type your password again." I use this exact same information in the same machine from Windows XP running on VMWare, and that works fine. So I know that the values are correct and that the machines are available. [opensuse] looking for person accounting software that can print checks

I have been looking for a personal accounting software suite for Linux that can also print checks on standard blank templates or compatible w/ a laser printer where if I wanted to I could get MICR toner. I see a lot of good accoutning software out there, but none that will allow me to print checks. Any suggestions? -- Michael S. Hello, I need build some packages but I'm unable to understand how to override automatic dependencies. For a package like haproxy which depends of libpcreposix0 I specify a requires tag containing libpcreposix0. However find-requires adds libpcreposix.so.0()(64bit) as a dependency and finally the installation halts to request the library instead of showing the required package. [opensuse] Question about (s)tar

Hi, Since a few weeks I'm running a script to backup my home-server. It's just a few tar-files I'm making on a removable hard-disk. Every week I run the same script with commands like star -cf tar-file.tar.gz directory I don't do any errorchecking though, like checking if all tar-commands end without errors. That's a next project. Last weekend I tried to recover that data to another external hard-disk, to see if the backup was restorable. It seemed to work fine except that I got a message, something like "ignoring trailing garbage". Am I to worry that my backup has problems ? Now I remember I actually used tar to restore. Maybe there is a difference ? [opensuse] Multiple GTK themes applied in kde - how is that possible?

Guys, Here is a strange one. Within my kde desktop, something is applying 2 different gtk themes to gtk apps. Really wild. A screenshot will help: http://www.3111skyline.com/dl/bugs/kde3/kcm_gtk-multi-themes_02.jpg Here you see compiz-config with the 'BlackBird' gtk theme applied and some default 12 pt font, but at the same time, you see the fusion-icon menu open in kicker with the BlueNight-II gtk theme applied with the proper 8pt font. --> Huh? I know the setting are controlled though kcm_gtk, but I've never had 2 themes show up before. The background color is obviously BlueNight, but the crappy 12pt font and white backgrounds are from? -- dunno?
