[opensuse] audio-level

Does anybody know where the audio-level settings are kept? I've got an 11.2 system and with yast i can set the levels for "master" and "front" to 75%, and then it works fine. Since you quote your prompt as '#', I assume you are root. Then your RPM database is hosed. This is *not* a problem with VirtualBox or with the VirtualBox rpm. First, check that no rpm command is still running. ps -ef | grep rpm should show the grep command at max. Remove /var/lib/rpm/__db.000. Check if rpm -q 'VirtualBox*' outputs information about an installed VirtualBox. If yes, try rpm -e VirtualBox-3.1 If that still does not succeed, reestablish rpm's Packages database from backup: The backups are in /var/adm/backup/rpmdb. Take the last one that has a date before the start of your problems and gunzip it. (If it's the very last one in that directory, it should be identical to /var/lib/rpm/Packages.) Make a backup copy of your current /var/lib/rpm/Packages and then replace it with that file. Run rpm query and remove commands again, as cited above. [opensuse] kmail dates wrong 2106

Kmail downloaded a bunch of old mail. I rebuilt the indexes and now there are several messages with a date of 2106-02-07 01:28 when you click on the date it then shows the correct date This seemed to work, last week when I though I had fixed them but yesterday more of the 21056 date appeared. Good evening, Using opensuse 11.2. I installed the fpc windows version on XP and it comes with its own IDE. How do I connect to the programming IDE for pascal on suse please. [opensuse] Alternative plugin for Thunderbird

In Windows, I use a Thunderbird plugin called "Send Later" that allows me to specify a time to send an e-mail. [opensuse] Installing JAlbum

Hi, I tried to install JAlbum on OS 11.1. It's in the PackMan repository. Yast complains the security-checks don't match. While I generally trust PackMan, I don't want to burn myself. Anyone installed JAlbum recently ? Did yast (or another rpm-isntaller) complain about security-checks ? Yast actually complains about almost all dependencies, they are all java-packages (I think). I could (try to) download and install from the JAlbum site but that's another site I have to register with.
