[opensuse] KDE4 on opensuse Factory 11.1 and 11.2

Hi Anyone know the reason for the Factory repos for KDE4 downloading different versions of KDE? I've got 2 machines, one running 11.1 and another running 11.2. On the 11.1 i'm running "Version 4.3.80 (KDE 4.3.80 (KDE 4.4 Beta1)) "release 197" and on the 11.2 laptop its "Version 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 6". [opensuse] 11.2 has buildtin Ghost?

Dear All, I have tried to use 11.2 installed on a ext4 partition. However, after every boot, some files can't be found anymore. Causing not working X11 environment, loss of personal settings etc. But only on the ext4 partition. After a reboot, I might - or not - have the original files back and lost the new files. This behavior was only seen on the ext4 (root) partition. /boot and a raid array used for data - all using ext3 - exhibit no problem. Hence the idee that ext4 is causing this strange ghostlike behavior. For now, I reverted back to an old partition using 11.0 and await the responses on my message. [opensuse] Unstable OpenSuSE behind Linksys RV

Dear All, I found a problem of Opensuse that runs as gateway behind Linksys RV (now Cisco Small Business). The problem is instability tracerouting Internet at Opensuse box (or machines behind Opensuse) as well as inability to browse Web site. However, any other PC that runs Windows XP have no problem if direct connected to RV box. Need your advise and share experience for this issue. ** Sorry for my bad English. I installed the new amarok 2.2.1 from the build service and shoutcast is not there so I went back to the amarok that is in the dvd. 1. Is there any way to add shoutcast to 2.2.1? 2. [opensuse] Install of 11.2 hangs

I am trying to install openSuSE 11.2 and no joy... I got through the first part of the install process, OK where all the files and copied from my dvd to disk, and then was asked to reboot my system.. Starts up and reaches an Initializing... screen that says "Preparing the 1st system configuration..." and hangs... Mouse cursor works rather jerky but clicking on the Help button does nothing... So, any ideas on how to proceed? Thanks in advance for any offers of help! [opensuse] 11.2 Boot Problem

OpenSuSE 11.2 on AMD 64bit CPU. This system is giving me fits with the Grub boot loader. When I did the complete install I used a complete HD, leaving the functioing 10.3 installation on another HD, and selected the defaulrt Grub settings. The first failure to boot gave me the following error statements: GRUB loading error 17 and hung. After much hair pulling (I really can't spare any now that winter seems to have arrived), I managed to boot the system using the following: mount the 10.3 DVD and boot the maching from that drive Selece Installallation/Repair/Expert/Boot Installed Sustems/ Boot either 10.3 or 11.2 A tad clumsey, but it works. Today I ran the 11.2 DVD and selected Installation/Repair/Custom/Boot Loader which worked (supposidly) and installed a new Grub. However, when I boot the system (after removing the DVD) I get: Guub Loading Stabe 1.5. Grub Loading, please wait . . . I waited and I waited and I waited and ......... --->- back to he mount the 10.3 DVD, etc..... (Incidentially the 11.2 DVD keeps cycling through the Partition or System to boot selection) One other thing, I selected the option to boot ffrom the root directory for the 11.2 installation. The root directory is /dev/sdc1 formatted ext3. Here is the menu.lst: # Modified by YaST2.
