Like I said, it's a community project, so become part of the solution, since it's something you need and something you perceive there's many others who need. You could become a hero to those people by solving the problem rather than just complaining that there isn't a CD distribution available that works for you. [opensuse] Hard drive partitioning question

When getting my desktop ready for openSUSE 11.0, resizing the windoze partition to make more room in /home, I noticed two partitions on the hard drive that I did not create, but what is even weider is when I add up all the partition sizes it says the drive is bigger than it really is. [opensuse] K3B DVD Question

(OpenSuSE10.3, KDE3, K3B version 1.0.5) When I try to use K3B to copy a DVD, it asks me to insert a DVD+-R. I have DVD+R and DVD-R, neither of which are recognized by K3B. I've looked for DVD+-R in online stores but I can't find them plus I've read several articles about DVD format. None of them even mention DVD+-R. Is there such a media? Do I need them to copy DVDs? Is there a known bug in KB? Any assistance will be appreciated. [opensuse] compile from source

I am using suse 10.3 and have a problem compiling the source of madwifi I'm trying to compile madwifi and this is the results: linux-uwal:/Atheros/madwifi-0.9.4 # make /bin/sh: cc: command not found Makefile.inc:81: *** Cannot detect kernel version - please check compiler and KERNELPATH. In fact I found ZAMZAR late last night. Tried it. Here are the results: * Content was converted (opened in OO as an RTF file). * plain fonts - no fancy fonts are carried over. * art work is basically a black blob At least it is a starting point... [opensuse] Viewing .avi files

Hello list, Can anyone here tell me which program/codec I need in order to be able to view .avi files (short video sequences I shot with a small point-and-shoot Samsung digital camera). I tried with Kaffeine, MPlayer, RealPlayer and Xine, with no success. And I have the "windows codecs" installed. [opensuse] Advance release of torrent file

In my experience when a new release is made available it is hard to download the .torrent file because the download servers are busy. I wonder if Novell could create the torrent file and release it today, with no seeds running. We could download the .torrent file today and start the torrent. Tomorrow Novell could add seeds to the torrent and our download would start right away. Is that possible?
