[opensuse] ssh: Connection reset by peer

Hello, I have a problem with ssh. Usually I work connected to several machines from a PC with openSUSE 10.2. But when I do the some from my laptop the connection is closed after some time of inactivity. The message I get in the terminal is: Read from remote host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Connection reset by peer Connection to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx closed. How can I tell to my laptop: don't close connection! [opensuse] Intel 3945 Wireless Problem opensuse 10.3

One problem down, one to go. I can't seem to connect to my (or any other) wifi network with my laptop. I have an Intel 3945 ABG card in my laptop. It is loaded with the ipw3945d Regulatory Daemon, ipw3945-kmp-default, ipw-firmware, the iwl3945-ucode and iwlifi-kmp-default files in YaST. I have network setup to be user controlled using KNetworkmanager. Though previously hidden, I have my SSID open with no password. I can see my network but cannot connect. The KNetworkmanager progress bar gets to 28% then quits. I also tried this on a few of my neighbors' open wifi networks and I can't get to them either. On a previous attempt to setup 10.3 on this laptop, I was intermittently able to get on the wifi. 10.2 had no issues. I've googled but not found much to help out. [opensuse] 10.2 & Beagle install source

Dear All, I have successfully been using http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Beagle/openSUSE_10.2/ To provide an installation source of Beagle, beagle-0.2.18-5.1. As a replacement to beagle-0.2.12-28 (which will consume 100% of a CPU) However the above URL now no longer contains beagle. Attempts to use either http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Beagle/openSUSE_10.3/ or http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Beagle/openSUSE_Factory/ Create the expected list of broken dependencies. Is there still in existence a repository with beagle for 10.2 ? Thanks Jan for all your god suggestions! While I did not have a live DVD of 10.3 on hand, I did have the regular install DVD. Since I had a "spare" partition on my harddisk, I just installed a new fresh 10.3 on that then mounted my original root partition and copied the kernel files there and update grub's menu.lst. The machine booted fine and I did a kernel update to the "fixed" kernel and things are back to normal again. One thing I have noticed, is any time I install a release of (open)SUSE alongside another one, so that I have multiple versions installed, grub is installed again and I have all these grubs pointing to other installations or other grubs on the various partitions. I can clean it all up after the installations so there is only one grub, but I was wondering if there was an easy way to have just one "master" grub updated no matter how many other verions one installed on their machine? [opensuse] console keymap

Greets. I have a weird problem with 10.1 and using home,end,backspace,delete etc in console programs (vi for example). On bash prompt using home, end doesn't work (nothing happens, while it should move cursor to start or end of the line). Using vi home,end works, but when in insert mode, I can't use backspace (nothing happens), delete works as long as there are characters on the line, when there are no more characters available, it should delete the line and move to next but that doesn't happen. This doesn't seem to be a problem in 10.3 when I'm connected directly, but if I ssh from 10.1 to 10.3 server same thing happens.
