[If anyone is interested:] After some searching on the web, and trying lots of things, the fix that did the trick was simple: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_some_websites#IPv6 Strange though that it worked before, and Firefox suddenly decided it could only do IP6 DNS... First, *don't* top post. The Altix 4700 is a single system, i.e. there is exactly _one_ kernel running. No RAIN, openMosix or any other form of clustering. Whoever is maintaining the en.opensuse.org/*Zypper web pages needs to take a look. When trying to access them with Firefox, all I get is glifs and gibberish * -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
