[opensuse] Implementation of Private & Secure Mail Server & Mailing Lists' Manager

Hello SuSE folkz, I'm trying to find a practical solution to setup private and secure Mail Server & Mailing Lists' Manager with the following characteristics: 1. Mail Server shall generate separate and unique public encryption key for the each Mailing List it handles. 2. Mail Server shall distribute Mailing List relevant public encryption key and newly generated unique private encryption key to the each new subscriber. As an option the subscriber shall be able to upload its own generated private encryption key to the Mail Server. 3. Mail Server shall store private encryption key associated with the each subscriber in SQL database along with subscribers' email address and subscription information. 4. When the Mail Server receives a message encrypted with subscriber's private key, it decrypts it using existing subscriber's private key stored in SQL database. Then the Mail Server encrypts this message with the Mailing List public encryption key and distributes it to all other Mailing List subscribers. 5. If the subscriber has a mail account on the Mail Server, the subscriber shall be able to retrieve its mail using ether POP3S or IMAPS protocols. Could you please point me out if there any Mailing List Manager software which could handle these tasks. [opensuse] Slow SuSE 10.2 on Fujitsu-Siemens L6820

Hello All, Has anyone any idea why Open SuSE 10.2 is so slow on a Fujitsu-Siemens L6820 latop. This laptop is a 2.4 Ghz Celeron, 1.5 Gig 333 Mhz DDR memory with 160 Gbyte hard drive. It take over 4 hours to install from DVD. Copied whole of DVD to harddrive and installed from there, this took 1 hour intsead of 4. The update from the internet took 6 hours. Everytime I boot the laptop it takes 8 mins to reach a point where I can start working. If I want to install any programs it takes 10 mins or more even if the program I want is on the had drive. It takes 3 mins for Yast2 to come up ready for searching/installing programs. Windows XP and ntfs/fat32 partitions not seen so were not in either mtab or fstab. When I changed mtab and fstab as root to see the Windows partitions and rebooted only one partition was seen and this was the fat32 partition. On one instance SuSE 10.2 took 15 mins to boot up to the graphical login. I use SuSE 10.2 on my desktop and found that SuSE 10.2 is up and ready to work in 1 min 25 secs. I assumed this would be the case for the laptop as well but this is not so. I have tried turning off the acpi with acpi=off and the other variations on the boot up screen but to no avail. I am deducing that you have a laptop and a PC connected to a router, and the PC connected to the modem by ethernet via cable. What I am not clear on is whether the router is wireless, wired or both. If the machine with two network cards is the laptop we may have a more complex problem (I have come across scenarios where a laptop would not support routing between internal network devices). I think it might be an idea to forward the output given by typing at the command line the following ifstatus eth0 and ifstatus eth1 to the list. Folks, I have two ethernet card, one devoted to a Hughes satellite Internet modem and the second to my home LAN via a Linksys router. My problem. I can't get them both operate at the same time. If I configure the Internet as DSL (eth1)and the LAN (eth0) with user defined IDs, the Internet is accessible and the LAN is unreachable. If I then <ifconfig eth1 down> now the LAN works and the Internet is unreachable. Then <ifconfig eth1 up> the LAN doesn't work again and the Internet works. What's up? Anyone actually seen this work with 10.2? It never seems to attempt to join the 224.0.0.251 multicast group. [opensuse] webex player does not show video on opensuse 10.2

Hi, I tried to view this video conference recording (very interesting stuff about virtualization): <https://jboss.webex.com/ec0509l/eventcenter/recording/recordAction.do?theAc…> After I click "Playback", it loads the webex player, asks if I do allow it to run, and then starts playing, but I can hear only the sound. The video window displays only one one small yellow square. I'm using firefox 2.0.0.4, latest update, and java-1_5_0-sun-1.5.0_update12-3.1 on opensuse 10.2 32bit. Does anyone see the same problem? [opensuse] Display resolution 1600x1200 will not accepted by 10.2

Hi all, I've little problem here. I got a SUN 365-1430 monitor as present here yesterday. The monitor does work fine and supports a resolution up to 1600x1200. If I do enter this resolution to sax2 and test it, sax2 will fall back to 1280x1024, no matter what I provide sax2 as monitor data. [opensuse] xen reports incorrect mhz processor speed

I am using SuSE 10.2 with all updates applied. (kernel 2.6.18.8-0.3) IBM eserver xSeries 360 with quad Xeon 2ghz processors. 6 gb memory. Bios is up to date. When I boot SUSE without Xen the processor speed is reported at 2000 and the system clock keeps time correctly. When I boot the xenpae kernel Xen incorrectly reports a 2493.830 MHz processor. This causes the system clock to lose 12 seconds every minute. (The ratio of a processor being used as 2493.830 rather than the 2000 mhz processor compared to 60 seconds results in 48.13 seconds - exactly the loss in time.) When running SUSE Yast hardware detection the Bios section reports correctly as 2000 in the Xen kernel and the SUSE kernel. But when booting Xen, even though the Bios section in the Yast hardware detection is correct, the CPU section reports the processor speed incorrectly as 2493. I have tried to: 1. Turn off hyperthreading in the bios. 2. Enter boot parameters 'acpi_pm_good'. 3. Enter boot parameters 'acpi_skip_timer_override'. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get Xen to identify the correct processor speed? This is making it unusable on this machine. [opensuse] Mouse and keyboard settings lost

Hi The last couple of days my mouse accel and keyboard repeat functions disappear when rebooting? These are the settings Im setting in KDE Personal Settings. When I click on Defaults is shows my settings, but I still need to Apply to get it working. Where does KDE keep amd when does in load these settings?
