I know.... I know... and other people on this list have 64 bit nvidia working But after three days, two identical fresh installs were performed, the 32 bit works and 64 bit does not. And this is not some newbie issue - and I have 25 years experience as an IT processional (including lots of testing) and 9 years with suse - meaning IT IS NOT ME :) My hardware is: AMD +6000 Galaxy 7600GT (PCIE) Asrock ALiveXFire-esata2/A/ASR 4gb 800 ram Thanks, Pieter On 08/10/2007, Fred A. [opensuse] Compiz-fusion questions

I've enabled compiz-fusion on 10.3 with an NVIDIA card and KDE desktop. The rotating desktop etc all works but I have two questions: 1) Superkaramba - how do you get superkaramba to display to all desktops. It only displays to the desktop it was started on. 2) BZFlag - BZFlag starts but ends up "behind" the window manager which makes it unplayable. [opensuse] Amarok not playing the next track

Anyone else have the same problem with Amarok not going to the next track? I have to do it manually - There seems to have been some updates applied which might have something to do with it. I have deleted my amarokrc to make sure it wasn't a config problem... [opensuse] Now for a really simple question

I hate it when a really stupid problem stumps me. How do I get Firefox to open a kmail window when I click on a "mailto" link? It works ok with one of the users on this system but not another and I cannot make it work for that user. It keeps bringing up Evolution, so obviously what I have been trying is wrong. I've just installed SUSE 10.3 on one computer and so far it looks nice and seems faster than 10.2. I also tried that KDE 4 preview. Yuck!!! I certainly hope that's not what KDE 4 is supposed to look like. [opensuse] Wireless under both 10.2 and 10.3

Hi everyone! I;m using both SUSE 10.2 and 10.3 beta 7, and I;ve noticed something crop up just in the past few weeks with NetworkManager. I have an Atheros card with the MadWifi driver, and it;s always worked fine. But several weeks ago, NetworkManager started to display that ALL (about 5) wireless networks have at 100% signal strength! My main network usually has at most, where I am in the house, a 60% strength, and the other networks in my neighborhood have below 20%. This is with BOTH 10.2 and 10.3 beta 7. To make sure my wifi card wasn't going crazy, I checked with an Ubuntu 7.04 Live CD, and networkManager on it displayed the correct readings. Anybody have any ideas? Should I file a bug report? [opensuse] Upgrading 10.2 32-bit to 10.3 64-bit

Hi, Usually I don't do upgrades, but the way I've handled that in the past is by using an entirely new disk for new version. That's not an option for me right now and I'm wondering what I can expect if I try to perform an upgrade of my 10.2 to 10.3 when the 10.2 system is a 32-bit installation and the 10.3 would be 64-bit.
