This code appears in svn://mono.myrealbox.com/source/trunk/gtk-sharp/configure.in.in: if test "x$enable_gnome" = "xyes"; then GTKHTML_REQUIRED_VERSION=3.7.0 PKG_CHECK_MODULES(GTKHTML_DEPENDENCIES, libgtkhtml-3.8 = $GTKHTML_REQUIRED_VERSION, enable_gtkhtml=yes, enable_gtkhtml=no) if test "x$enable_gtkhtml" = "xyes"; then GTKHTML_VERSION=3.8 GTKHTML_SOVERSION=15 else When I did `pkg-config --modversion libgtkhtml-3.8' the version returned was 3.7.6. I'm not sure who is (the most) wrong here. I really don't understand pkg-config very well. I believe I can tweek the configure.in.in to make this work. I'm just curious as to what this is really telling me. Are the version numbers in the *.pc files related to the numbers in the filename? Why would something labled as 3.8 actually be 3.7.6? -- Regards, Steven

Create a grub entry to NOT load a service

Hi all, i don´t known if it is possible but i´m researching it. My idea is create a new entry in grub ( or lilo if necessary to change) to load suse linux and on this entrys ddon´t load a service. I have a Suse box running Jboss(my application server), but the developers freezes the server when jboss is loading. So i´ve think in create a entry on grub to NOT load jboss to me do the server configuration whith the network online( i use runlevel 3). Is it possible to do who i think or exist another form to do it? Tried that, thanks. The little micro in the SD CARD is probably permanently confused. It is a Danke SD CARD 512M. Thanks but I don't plan to persue it further until I get a professional RAM analyser that will properly reset the chip. It,however, makes for the world's smallest door stop. I used everything including the linux freeware dd utility (forgot the name of it takes uses ever smaller windows to recover all the data). that proved the most useful. After four hours, it read the whole chip and told me it was a 256M with clusters of 1 byte. It is a 512M. All the sectors were unreadable. As an alternative to trying to read the FAT, you could search the media by file header, such as with foremost -- in conjunction with The Sleuthkit and Autopsy. Problems connecting to Windows with fish

Hello all: I have a strange problem, I hope some one can shed some light on it. A friend of mine is staying with me for a while so I connected his Windows machine to my network. I decided to use ssh for file transfer between the machines which works fine. However, I am having problems connecting to the sshd on his machine through fish:// (it keeps saying connection broken) while sftp works fine. Wierd install with Gnome.

Ok, I decided to give Gnome another try until Beta 3 came out, but When I installed Suse 10.0 beta 2 with gnome. FVWM came up everytime. Is this normal? What might be causeing this? HAs it happened to anyone else if it has I will post a bug for it? Thanx

Win98 Samba share "does not exist"?

SUSE93 YAST -> "Security and Users" -> "Firewall" - stop firewall. YAST -> "Network Services" -> "Samba Client" - Workgroup=BAX Desktop -> "Network Browsing" -> "SMB Shares" -> BAX I see a list of computers in the BAX workgroup (on my home network). When I click on icon for any of these machines, I see a list of shares available on the machine. One of the machines is OpenBSD running Samba, and I can access those shares, no problem. There are three Win98 systems with shared folders. When I click on folder name, I get: --> The file or folder smb://machine/folder does not exist. Did I miss something? Extraneous(?) Info: There is also a WinXP system on the network - not in BAX workgroup - we use Internet Connection Sharing to access DSL connection (router is currently broken and not yet replaced - a long story).
