color of the panel hide button

Dear members: This is a question I asked some time ago on the suse-kde list but have not got a reply. Is there a way to change the color of the panel hide button? In earlier KDE versions it was black and I liked better that than the blue colored button. 9.3 iso

I have downloaded the 9.3 eval iso, but the size is wrong. It is supposed to be 4.3 GB in size, but every time I try to download, the size is seen as 189 MB. Even w/ a download manager. In other words, as it is downloading, the progress is shown as "x MB of 189 MB complete". I have tried several different mirrors with the same result. If the file gets downloaded, it is 189MB. ??? Am I missing something here? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Synaptic and signatures

Know that it was a discussion on the list with a solution. I seem to use the latest Synaptic 0.57 for Suse (9.3) and thought that I would be able to steer clear of unsigned, corrupted, signatures and such. My system reports following after a big update: APT system reports: E: Error(s) while checking package signatures: 16 unsigned package(s) 59 package(s) with unknown signatures 0 package(s) with illegal/corrupted signatures Where should I insert what in order to get the packages installed? The check box " verify package signatures" is unchecked but does not seem to do its work.

Moving MySQL, Backing up MySQL ??

In ways these are the same question. I have a standard SuSE Pro 9.1 installation. Where are the database files for MySQL? I want to back up only the db and relavent config files not any of the MySQL binaries. Also which files (the db files) do I move to migrate the entire database to a MySQL (same version) running under a different Linux distro (Red Hat)? Thanks in advance john

CD-Rom audio cables

Strange YOU problem.

I just upgraded from 9.2 to 9.3 and now the susewatcher applet won't connect to show me whether there are updates or not. When I open susewatcher it says YOU status - Couldn't connect to update-server. When I click on the show last log button this is what I get: online_update -k -s Error retrieving patches: ERROR(You:File has invalid signature.)[Patch: fetchnvidia.sh-52062] If I start online update I am able to connect and download and install patches. I searched google and found nothing. I also tried rpm --rebuilddb and that didn't help either. If anyone's seen this I would appreciate some help. Thanks, Andy

openoffice 2.0 prints margin line

When I use openoffice 2.0's draw program the margin prints on the paper. By setting the margins to 0.0 I get rid of the margins. When I print I choose to trim the drawing for the page size in the printer. However a darker line under the drawing appears (the page edge?) in some drawings. Some drawings it appears on the right side too. How can I print without the margins and the other line showing up on the print? I'm using SuSE 9.3 Pro., OOo 2.0, CUPS, the latest patches for 9.3, HP 6721. Thanks, KurtRR

Skype and ports

Hi, I am on SuSE 9.1 Pro. I have recently installed Skype. I use a proxy to access the internet. I am not able to connect to Skype at present. Could it be some problem with the ports? Kindly let me know what I should do to make it work. The following is the output of nmap on my box and the proxy. my box (The 1655 ports scanned but not shown below are in state: closed) PORT STATE SERVICE 22/tcp open ssh 53/tcp open domain 111/tcp open rpcbind 631/tcp open ipp proxy (The 1655 ports scanned but not shown below are in state: closed) PORT STATE SERVICE 22/tcp open ssh 111/tcp open rpcbind 3128/tcp open squid-http 10000/tcp open snet-sensor-mgmt Will it be sufficient if I open up the ports on my comp or should the ports on the proxy should also be opened up?
