[SLE] Help where are the sources of the kotd kernel ?

Hi all, I use to upgrade and compile my kernel with the SuSE "kernel of the day" so that I have the SuSE patches. But to day I'm unable to find the packages kernel-sources. Can somebody tell me if something has changed ? I need the sources for vmware and for the nvidia modules. Thanks for reply. Michel.

SVN and KDE

Hi, I have SuSE 9.1 Pro, Kde 3.4.1. I use apt-get to keep up-to-date the system. Now, I found in the apt repository (or maybe it is part of 9.1) a package kio_svn, which is supposed to enable svn:// links in konqueror. I guess it is for KDE 3.1, as its version number shows a date in June 2004. But I can not find a newer version of this package. I even tried to look for it in 9.3, but it is not there as well. So, does anyone knows where I can find this package? Or, some nice GUI for Subversion? On their site they have a link to rapidsvn, but ... it is an year old, and I can not find rpms for 9.1 or 9.3. When SIGQUIT'ing a daemon, where does the core dump end up? Or is there anything special you need to do to get the core dump? wireless adapter

After searching the archives going back six months I have not been able to find much using "wireless" as the search string. I am contemplating buying a wireless router and pcmcia adapter for my laptop and would like to have any recommendations as to what to buy. I currently use a Linksys router and have never had problems and may want to stay with the same brand but a change is not out of the question. ftp server that can block files??

hy people!, the thing is i have an AIX box that downloads things from a ftp and another program that moves everything that's in the directory to another FS the thing is that in aix if you try to cp a file that is in use it says resource is busy but now im migrating the program to suse linux and i find this problem: even if the download hasnt finished the cp or mv starts and my file gets copied or moved in a corrupt state, thats why i was looking for a ftp server that blocked the files until the download has finished . and the prob is i cant change the program to put in a scrip it has to stay as it is!. Help!!

OpenOffice.org 'custom' page-numbering

Hi, I have an important deadline and slowly getting crazy with OOorg 1.1.1 sitting on my SUSE 9.1:( I would like to modify the page-numbering of a single 12-page document as follows: 5,7-14,22- ; but found in fact no usable way until now... Is there a feature like that in OOorg to get the "first" page numbered as 5 in this case and get some extra-shift still in the following interval(s)? 'f course the documentation was the first place I checked this, at second I attempted to find this function by myself, without any success... Thank you, Pelibali

SuSe 9.3 and external module compile.

I am trying to compile IET (iSCSI Enterprise Target) on a SuSe 9.3 box. It requires the kernel to be compiled to create the module. However the kernel source is for the default kernel and not the SMP kernel I am running. I noticed there is a linux-obj directory which has the SMP directory with a .config and some other files. How can I compile the kernel as a SMP kernel from the linux-obj directory? Or is there a different way to do this? Thank you, Brad Dameron SeaTab Software www.seatab.com

Hi All, How do you allow mysql administrator ( windows versoin ) to connect to mysql running on suse 9.1? I read that you must create a user that can connect from any host.
