YaST2 - "could not write server list to disk"

Hi all, After applying security update, YaST2 start with "Cound not write server list to disk" error. No detail messages is available. I have searched through the net and found some users have the same problem but no solution yet. Any help? Thanks

NFS volumes at boot

The client machine has the following entry in /etc/fstab: photon:/home /photon/home nfs rw 0 0 If I run su and manually type mount /photon/home the drive connects correctly. I've tried several combinations of options beside rw, but the volume doesn't connect at boot, only if I do it manually. Setting Environment variables

I have a need to enable 'Eclipse' with Amzi prolog plug-in run. The stumbling blocks are ability to set a default environment variable, i.e. AMZI_DIR, and then all the additions to PATH. Could somebody point me in the right direction, I have tried many ways which fail frequently. Point me to some definitive guide for SuSE 8.2 & 9.0 please. Mozilla update

Hi everybody. Has enyone else encountered a problem with the most recent security update to Mozilla-1.4 which causes Mozilla to become unlaunchable? Specifically, I've found that if I replace mozilla-1.4-72(from DVD) with mozilla-1.4.1-12(via YOU) to fix the buffer overflow in the S/MIME code of Mozilla, the application becomes unlaunchable - no error, just doesn't start. Adaptec 2930U SCSI Controller CArd

Anyone on the list usig the Adaptec 2930U controller and if so what has been your experience. I can't findt it listed in the SuSE hardware database, but then again my 2940U2W isn't on the list either and it works like a charm. tia, dave

Suse Linux 9.1 und Symbios SCSI

Hello! My Davicontrol 2976UW oviously dosnt work correctly with the new kernel. Starting from DVD the module sym53c8xx is loaded, but no devices are listed. In Suse 9.0 with kernel 2.4 all worked perfectly... In the output log, I found nothing suspicious. Someone had a similar experience? greets, Alex

VMWare and its files.

At one time an issue existed with (IIRC) vmmon.o and vmnet.o, as documented on SDB, where one was supposed to use kernel supplied instead of VMWare supplied files. ver 9.0 programs in 9.1

Since the 9.1 comes with kernel 2.6.4, will programs rpm'd for 9.0 work??? I use synaptic to keep my system current, will I need to wait for 9.1 rpms or recompile everything I want to install?
