How do I change the font size in Evolution?

9iDS on 8.2 Pro

All, I try to install 9iDS on 8.2 Pro. Installation completed sucessfully; however, linking produces error 'Error in invoking target install of makefile ins_plsql.mk'. I've been searching and trying what I found on google. Nothing has worked for me yet so far. Anyone know of solution to fix the problem? Goodbye SuSE :-(

Hello! I just want to say "Goodbye!" to all SuSE users on this list. The reason why I'm leaving SuSE is that I finally moved to Gentoo. Although I had both SuSE & Gentoo installed for some time, recent failure of my old HD with SuSe installed meant it's time for a change :-) SuSE was/is my 1st Linux distribution and I started with 6.0 sometime in the beginning of '99 and was loyal to it all the time. With 8.0 I noticed that I was forced to manually compile more & more packages and had a problem to keep rpm database in sync. apt-get was a nice improvement, but not enough for a full satisfaction. All in all, I'd like to thank all of you who are providing excellent support and friendly environment for SuSE users. To SuSE I wish a great success in taking over the land of Evil Empire :-) Sincerely, Gour ps. Problems with Intel 865GLC motherboard

Hello all, A friend of mine purchased a computer with Intel 865GLC motherboard, and a SerialATA hard disc. SuSE 8.2 Pro installer doesn't recognise the hard disc (or the controller). So I had him install 8.2 on his old computer, compiled a 2.4.22 kernel, plugged it into the new machine (the old drive is PATA), booted up and copied the installation over to the new machine. So the new machine boots now, recognises the SATA controller and disc, DMA is on and it's fast! Three problems remain though: 1. Yast2 configured the sound and at boot there are no errors when the sound module is loaded, but it doesn't make any sound. I checked with gamix that everything is on and set correctly, but no sound. Programs like xmms and MPlayer work as if the sound is there, no errors. Just no sound. 2. Yast2 configured the onboard Intel NIC, but this gives an error on boot - simply that it failed with no specifics. 3. Hotplug fails (with no specific error) and it seems that this is because USB won't work. Does anybody have experience with this board or know how to get everything on it going? All the hardware are just recognised as "Intel ICH" something or other, no specifics. I compiled the kernel like so: I first did a make cloneconfig in the suse kernel tree. Saved and copied that config out to the 2.4.22 tree. Loaded it in make menuconfig, changed the CPU type to Pentium 4 and disabled the stuff we don't need like bluetooth, all the unnecessary scsi drivers, ect. Althouhg I was careful to leave support for all the hotplugging controllers on - USB, FireWire, ect I all left as they were. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Hans

Linux client that talks to MSN Messenger

Hi ALL, Last month MSN changed their Messenger server and my Netscape AIM for linux on SuSE 8.2 stopped seeing my nephew when he is signed on. Are any of you using a Linux "AIM-like" client that can still connect to MSN-messenger users?" I know that I can use a W98 MSNM client on W98 but I do NOT want to apply for a MS Passport!! Web Page building

Hello, I am new to Suse Linux. (new to linux period). I have been a Mac OS and Windows operating system user. But i got tired of windows and so i looked into Suse pro 8.2 and love it so far. My problem is this. I own 2 web site www.ihregistry.com and www.ihregistry.org I used dreamweaver mx in windows to design and update my web site. I have looked at emacs but am totally lost so far. I tried mozillia and for what ever reasons wouldn't work right with the web pages i have and i don't wish to go and change all my pages. When i save the pages it saves but when i upload them to my server they are a txt file and when i go back and view them on my machine they will only open up with txt. I have checked and checked but can not find out why so,Is there a rpm or application i can find that is like dreamweaver? Thanks for any help you could provide to me on this. Mark H. (OT) Slightly - Setup for router and dyndns

Has anyone gotten a d-link 614+ router setup to auto notify www.dyndns.org? If so, how. I've tried all their things in the faq, and other sources, with absolutely no luck. All I get in the log is DDNS: no host. Card reader help

I went down and bought a Dazzle CF-SD-blah-blah card reader. This is the 6 in 1 model. I managed to get it mounted and see the files on the CF card. Now my problem is I can't get it unmounted. Here's the fstab config.... /dev/sdb1 /media/sdb1 auto noauto,user,exec 0 0 #HOTPLUG B3Fu.o4XOFJX1US6 So I do a umount /media/sdb1 and get umount: /media/sdb1: device is busy No it's not. I closed everything having to do with it, pulled out the CF card and tried it again. No luck. Any thoughts other than rebooting? Also, I'd like to mount it as user....matter of fact, I'd like the whole 'media' directory as user. How would I do that?
