kde standard sounds

I recently had to run reiserfsck --rebuild-tree, and some of KDE's standard sounds (eg. shade and unshade sounds) got deleted. I am having great difficulty in finding which RPM contains these so that I can reinstall them. I have tried reinstalling basically everything that contains kde and multimedia or kde and sound. Any pointers to the RPM that contains these files would be greatly appreciated. Mike Sacco

I found it funny to read that ONE guy in US committed suicide due to unemployment, and there were a few papers on their way to becoming a law against outsourcing of IT resources. I find it nothing but arm-twisting where they can, and let the UN be screwed in the process. Hi Has anybody installed this Python <-> PostgreSQL thing? If so, how did you do it? installing 2.2 kernel on 8.1 sys? INIT error

I setup a 2.2.19 kernel with ext3 patch. i created a initrd image for the kernel. When I boot everything seems to work but after mounting the root partition with ext3 as readonly, successfully mind you, it tells me FATAL: kernel too old Has anyone succeded in getting any 2.2 kernel version to work on the SuSE8.x systems? thanks

Help on how to configure a Firewire(IEEE1394) external drive!

Hey there, I need some advice on how to configure a Maxtor 3000XT (160GB) Firewire external drive. A few days ago I did a new SuSE 8.1 Pro instalation, on the first boot, SuSE loaded the drive perfectly, an icon (/windows/c) was displayed on the desktop, fstab show it as /dev/sda1 ... sweet! I tought... :) But on a second reboot it all turn out as a April Fools joke... same icon, same fstab entry, but I can no longer access to the drive... 'file system type is not supported'... what??? It's FAT32!! One reboot ago everything was going on smooth!!... Any ideas on how to get this drive working again? hi all, I've been using linux for about a month and right now I'm using redhat 7.3. I have redhat from downloading from Internet. Now I'm about to migrate to SuSE because I heard that SuSE has a good looking and lot of easy-to-use. My question is where can I download SuSE 8.2 ? Thanks --- Ody
