boot problem

Hi When I power up the suse 8.1 system, It comes to Grub> prompt. It was working fine but all of a sudden it went wrong. Need your help. regards Saeed e *******************************************************************************

Found it (when all else fails go to the source!) All you have to do is create soft links in your ~/.kde/share/icons subdirectories using the class name for the application in question (all lower case). Thus for rxvt (which uses the Xterm class name): markgray@k6:~> find -name xterm.png|xargs ls -l|sed -e 's/^.* \././' ./.kde/share/icons/crystalsvg/16x16/apps/xterm.png -> /opt/gnome2/share/pixmaps/gnome-term-tiger.png ./.kde/share/icons/crystalsvg/32x32/apps/xterm.png -> /opt/gnome2/share/pixmaps/gnome-term-tiger.png ./.kde/share/icons/crystalsvg/48x48/apps/xterm.png -> /opt/gnome2/share/pixmaps/gnome-term-tiger.png Eureka! Yes -- the more "direct" ways I learned using slackware and redhat have often led me to fight the way SuSE does things with a text editor rather than looking a little deeper for the correct way. Problem with Pixie Plus

When I clicked on the 'show all' button, it still remained empty. Is anyone else having this problem too? I used Pixie Plus an awful lot in my 8.0, and I'm missing being able to use it now with my 8.2. Hopefully someone will have an idea of how to cure this. Screwed up user

I have 4 users on a Suse 8.1 machine, primararily using KDE. One has a lot of screwed up settings for printing, menus, etc., but there are a lot of items that would take a while to rebuild. Can I: 1. Create a new user 2. Copy all needed data from the old one to the new one 3. Delete/rename the old one's directory 4. Rename the new one to the old name Will this work? Harry G

Resizing window

Hello All, I don't know you but, I find a little annoying the fact that it's hard to resize any window under SuSE 8.2, when I do a "mouseover" over any border, the event for resizing is not being catched, you have to pass the mouse really slow over the border to make KDE catch the event. Or other times, the mouse icon changes to "resize mode" and once I drag the pointer I just lose the window and it goes to the back. Have any other have a similar problem?, is there a workaround? Thanks Ernesto
