Linux games for kids.

Hello SuSE folkz, Does somebody know where I can get Linux games (preferably educational) for kids. I have six years old daughter who likes to play and study with computer. Since all my home boxes are running Linux I can't run educational games some kind of Reader Rabbit or First Grade. They all have been written for M$ and Mac OS's. Could somebody advise me where I can get games for kids written/ported on Linux. Thank you in advance. I believe the "TX" in the 3Com product number indicates that it's an RJ45 connector - 10/100base-T. Hi Gordon et al, Here are the problems that I have had using XimianRed Carpet on SuSe 7.2. I have the same problem with having to launch Red Carpet in the terminal. I spoke to Ximian about three weeks ago about the problem, they're working on a solution - this problem is only with SuSe distro. What i dis was drag the Red Carpet icon from the main menue to my QuickLaunch. I went to properties and clicked on the box to "Run in Terminal." Now when I click on the Red Carpet icon in QuickLaunch, I automatically get a gui launcher request for root pass word and a terminal request for my root password on screen, together (Red Carpet only works with root permission). I currently do not have use of Evolution or Galeon. There're a lot of dependencies assosiated with these two programs which will take years to resolve with a dial up modem. I finally got everything downloaded for Evolution 1.0.2 and it hung up in the validation process at 92% validated. I have not tried Galeon, yet, because it hasn't shown up on Red Carpet's radar screen. My current version of Mozilla is 0.9.2. With a dial up modem, resolving these problems takes a while. I'm thinking of upgrading to broadband. About a third of the guys in the Lug use cable modems, which is probablly the route I'll go. My ISP provider, Earthlink, offers DSL with no Linux support. I've been with Earthlink for six years, but it's probablly wiser to go with the support of the Lug. So I may go AT&T's MediaOne. Hello Jack I talked with my vendor this morning and he was not able to explain the difference between a 3Com - 3c905 CTX and a 3c905 C, but I hope he will investigate. The only thing we know , from Isen Kusima's post is that the 3c905 C works with SuSE 7.3. I'll keep you informed if I happen to know more about the 3c905 CTX. mounting NTFS partitions

I have SuSE 7.3 pro installed and a dual boot situation on my hard drive - there are entries in fstab for the C and D drives that are on the Win2K side of my machine - but when I try to "mount" them, I get an error saying "no such mount point" any ideas on this one? Chuck "Linux newbie"

Gimp will not start in 7.3

Hi, When I run Gimp in SuSE 7.3, it hangs at the Plug-ins window and will not start. Anyone else experienced that and knows why? Regards, Jostein
