Do you have the file : /etc/rc.d/init.d/lpd ?
I suspect the said file is in : /etc/rc.d/lpd on your system.
Just make a symlink ... and it should fix the file not found message.

have a look at "rpm -qip lexmarkz52*rpm". it is probably only restarting the lpd, you can do that manually (as root: rclpd restart) I've this running fine here. Lexmark sent us some printers some time ago (one of them I have on my desk now ;-), the z52) - unfortunately they were'n too flexible with the license for the drivers so we couldn't include them (yet?).
