[SLE] Source Tree installed w/ 8.1?

Is the linux source tree included in a Default installation? The Cisco Aironet drivers are looking for the source tree in /usr/src/linux but did not find anything. Hi I know this is slightly OT, but I'd appreciate any responses. I intend to set up a box running SUSE, sendmail, and probably something like Majordomo. The sole purpose of the box will be to act as a mailing list server. All the mailing lists will be announcement lists, sending out about 100 000 messages a month (email newsletters etc). Hello, I am haveing problmes with Postfix on SuSE 8.1 Pro. I have installed the OS, setup fetchmail to recieve mail (which works fine). AT this point the mail isnt delivered to my inbox. it is shown in mailq. >From this point im stuck. ANyone got any ideas on postfix mail delivery? thanks. [SLE] SuSE 8.1 Pro Install Freezes

Howdy; I've been trying to install SuSE 8.1 Pro on VMware 3.2.0 Build 2230, and so far it freezes during the install. text installs: http://12.241.223.121/images/nix/suse_txt02.jpg http://12.241.223.121/images/nix/suse_txt01.jpg GUI install:(IDE) http://12.241.223.121/images/nix/suse_gui01.jpg http://12.241.223.121/images/nix/suse_gui02.jpg GUI install:(SCSI) http://12.241.223.121/images/nix/suse_gui03.jpg http://12.241.223.121/images/nix/suse_gui04.jpg It freezes when there is no longer any green lights for the HDD or cd-rom in the lower right of VMware. I've tried SCSI 0:0 and IDE 0:0 in text mode and both times it freezes. I'm following the VMware ws32_manual and it says: ==================================== 4. Install using the text mode installer. - CHECK! 5. When prompted, do not install an X server. In the Configure Monitor screen,choose No X11. The installer asks you to confirm. Click Continue and finish the installation. ==================================== I've looked and looked and can't find X Server, or X11. Is this right at the end of the installation, or before the installation ever installs? My Comps Specs:(hosts) Win2k Server Athlon 1800+ 1024mb PC-133 Plextor 24/10/40 eVGA GF4 MX440 What would I be doing wrong? Do you need more info? Gambas help needed to install

I'm trying to get gambas to work however I get error with the rpm off the Suse 8.1 cd and the following error when installing from a tar.gz file checking for working makeinfo... found checking for gcc... no checking for cc... no configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH I don't understand what the program is requesting Steve.

odd gimp ?

Wow,I love gimp. I mean,really love gimp. Its so cool .But. Gimp will not start as a regular user(I've tried two seperate accounts) Gimp will start as root (superuser) Please help as I've no clue how to fix this strangeness TIA
