taskbar problem

Hi list: has anybody else encountered this problem, too? After just installing 7.2 I found that the utilities button (third from left) on the taskbar had a broken link. I *think* the correct link is: ln -s /opt/kde2/share/apps/kappfinder/apps/Utilities/XUtilities /opt/kde2/share/config/SuSE/work If it is somewhere else, please correct and comment. SuSE's KDE2 web page says the latest is 2.1.1 The 7.2 box says 2.1.2 The rpm's (both from the box and from theSuSE ftp site) say 2.1.1 The KDE2 Control Center identifies itself as 2.1.2 What is the actual version number? -- ____________________________________________________________________ Robert Paulsen paulsen(a)texas.net

Hopfully Simple Netscape Question

For the moment I'm using Netscape on both sides of my box and desiring to store the mail in just one location. The chosen location is on drive C in the folder Netscape\DCJOHAN\Mail on the windows side, or more simply C:\Netscape\DCJOHAN\Mail. When viewed on the Linux side in the netscape preferences dialog, the browse option displays it as /windows/C/Netscape/dcjohan/Mail. Every time I try to get my mail (save for once this evening when it all downloaded just fine) I get a Netscape: Error "Default Inbox folder does not exist. You cannot download any new messages." I can't see what's wrong here, especially since it actually worked ONCE this evening. Can anyone determine what is going wrong with this setup, and yes, the C drive is mounted. thanks, dave

YAST2: Error Reading Configuration File

When I try to add components to my system, YAST2 tells me that there was an error reading configuration file. It goes no further. What to do? geno

I am getting heaps of isdnlog messages (see below) As I do not live in Europe I am wondering how I can change this. If I turn off logging will I lose important isdn information ? Hi All Ya! it your mennis ther is back :-) This time i'll spare you with only on Q so here gows nothing. Is it possibel to get some sort of reconection with sub. Im using a slow modem connection and is very slow and unstabel, so i get kick off alot, so im wondring if ther is a way to get Live update to conti.. the priv. selectet files. the way im dowing it now is by konq but then SuSE YOU can't finde out that the pakages is alredy install. Machine hangs at reboot - part2

hello it's me again :) seem like ldconfig wouldn't fix my problem. the error message i get when rebooting the pc is: saving random seed BUG IN DYNAMIC LINKER LD.SO and then hangs forever so i have to push the power button this is very annoying since I remotely administer this pc and sometimes have to reboot it from the shell Thanks in advance for your help
