Hello Can someone tell me why I am having this error at my Linux server. Currently my Linux is running as Proxy server and smtp out. What should I do .. ? Hi, I am completely exhausted installing JVC CDR/W on the Toshiba Tecra 8000. I am using SuSe 6.4. Adaptec SCSI and JVC CDR/W. All of them must be supported. My system recognize perfectly all hardware at the boot time and gives two high beeps. All modules are loaded perfectly. [SLE] Unattended FTP sessions

Dear all, my idea to make an unattended FTP session looked something like this: #!/bin/sh ftp -n $remote_site cat << END user mylogin pass mypass [ more commands here ] END But it stops when it connects to the remote server... so I must type the user and passwd information... I'm sure there must be a better way (wget does not fit my needs :-) ) but I remember seeing such unattended FTP sessions some time (years) ago... Any suggestions are welcomed! [SLE] adding a secondary router to route.conf

I have a network where my SuSE 6.4 box can use one of two routers to get to the internet. To add to the mix, the two different routers are accessable through two different NIC's. How do I setup the router.conf so that if the primary router is not working, the secondary is used? [SLE] Sendmail

Hi all, I am in the phase of configuring a mail server . Already I have a mail server running on sendmail. This sendmail is the one which packed with suse 5.2. So I have loaded the same OS on the new hardware and configured the sendmail as if in the existing one. What the problem I am facing is I am able send mail from the mail host (i.e. is a another machine having netscape configured mail server as the new mail server.). When I send the mail it says mail send successfully but the mail is not reaching the destination. I gone through the mailque and other related directories but I couldn't trace the mail which I have send. But when I send the mail using pine by logging into the mail server to some other account and if I try to get msg in the mail host I am getting the mail. So there is some problem in routing the mails. So please help me to sort out this problem. Regards S. [SLE] any tools for bind & sendmail configuration

hi all, i'm using suse6.4,kernel2.2.14. -bind is preinstalled in suse being a newbie, i find the bind8.2.2 configuration very hard...i'm trying. but is there any tools that enable me to configure bind or check my bind configuration? - there's no h2n(perl ) in my sys,pls let me know where i can get the script...i hope i dont have to install the whole sendmail to get a few lines of script;o) anyway,suse users, pls help here when i choose suse >network/server>administration there appeared : -kcmbind,kcmdhcpd,kfirewall,klpad unfortunately when i click any of them i'd see the yellow yast(small screen) for a while, then it disappeared. what's wrong?...ps. i thought kcmbind would help me to configure bind? btw, do any of u know any configuration tool for sendmail as well? thanks for all your help. tk ===== 0Oo~~:o) Smile!
