[SLE] customizing ls

I am working with some source code and rcs. [SLE] An audio impossibility?

Hey all! I realise this is probably impossible, but here goes! I have a Win98 machine with a soundcard I have a Linux machine without. Is it possible to channel the audio from the Linux machine to the Win98 machine? If so, how? Only way I know of us with a creative dxr2 card. This works pretty well, but not perfectly. Winframe can use a soundcard on a terminal client, producing sound from apps even though the Winframe server knows nothing about sound, so it must be possible. rplay will allow the replay of sounds over the network, I'd imagine this would be just Linux to Linux though, although it could be worth reading "man rplay". Since audio can be streamed over the 'net, presumably hooking the rplay audio stream into TCP/IP & sending it off to, say, RealAudio on the Winbox might do the trick? One way you could do it is setup an SMB share on the Linux machine, then load say winamp and open the mp3 from the Linux SMB share. But if you say run Quake on Linux, I won't know how to stream the quake music over the network to the 95 machine. [SLE] playing dvd`s in linux

[SLE] Dell Latitude CPx Docking Station Setup

Any and All, I've gotten Suse 6.3 setup on my Dell Latitude with no problems. If I use a pcmcia network card, I'm able to connect to my network. However, I'd like to be able to use the 10/100MB card in my docking station when I'm in the office. It appears that Suse isn't seeing the network card in the docking station. Has anyone gotten this combination to work? If so, any pointers are appreciated. I've been through the suse-linux-e archives and the Linux on Laptops site with not much useful information turned up. Fraser I had run out of space, I have now deleted temp files and log messages and it has fixed the fault - thanks. I am not sure but, I think the Cron setting in config needs setting to a lower figure than 365 if space is tight, therefore deleting files over a shorter period of time to prevent this happenning. I cleared out all the .tar and .gz files and other large files I'd stored in my /root directory, which freed up about 45Mb. I don't understand why these weren't cleared out automatically by the cron daemon at night, and I haven't had time to figure it out since. The command df is useful for diagnosing this particular problem. It shows you a list of your filesystems, and tells you how full they are.
