Check your "autoconf.h" file. You will likely find "define CONFIG_SMP 1", you want to find "#undef CONFIG_SMP". Change this value (or point the symbolic link to the correct source), do a "make clean" in the nvidia kernel driver directory, and make the driver again. There is an article on Toms Hardware that goes into more detail and I believe the lastest nvidia FAQ covers it as well. Cheers, Thom

They're cheap too and have RAID level 0/1 support off the ATA100 controller (the RAID wont work in Linux yet). 2/ Alternatively buy an Intel OR40 board if you have the cash. 3/ Sod Rimms. PC133 outperforms these systems in most circumstances (don't ask me why but my PC133 based i815 setup is 5% faster than an 820/RIMM setup with the same processor!!!!!!) Hang it out too as Intel prices will drop out just after Christmas so this set up wont cost a fortune. They'll be pushing P4 sales then, so the P3 will be cheaper (another 800 will drop to about ~£130 - you'll have to convert to Euros :) - Chris.

The old Mac interface with some more consistency and a UNIX kernel might have been better. I personally like to see the pixels rather than have them antialiased to hell. Windows is "designed by pros" and yet it's still a piece of junk. Remember the demonstrator is hired to make Mac OSX to seem superior over all other software, but if you ever take a look at the specs for OSX it may scare you. Hardware requirements are very high. I think Mac OSX will be knocked down by Linux, not vice versa. I would doubt that OSX would be as fast as Linux on the same Mac Calyth

I took a look in their kernel config file and I noticed that it has this specific to PDA devices parameters: CONFIG_CLASS_PDA=y CONFIG_CASIO_E105=y CONFIG_CPU_VR41XX=y CONFIG_TOUCH_PANEL=y CONFIG_BUTTONS=y CONFIG_BUTTONS_GPIO=y My question is how I can enable these configuration options in regular 2.4.x kernel or where I can download sources of the kernel that has these specific to my pocket PC configuration options. I'd like to put SuSE mini distro on IBM 1GB mini hard drive to run it on my Casio-125 pocket PC. Thank you in advance for any thoughts. Alex
