I just chucked my antique 486 for a brand new computer with lots of fancy
stuff. Have been able to get everything to work in SuSE but my Creative Sound
Blaster AWE64.
Compiled from MENUCONFIG and chose not to modularize sound so that I could
enter the parameters. Pretty sure that I got all the latter correct. On bootup
'sound initialization successful' (or something positive like that) is
reported. Yet, so far, nary a peep.
I would dearly appreciate any suggestions. I am very disappointed not to be
able to see what audio CDs sound like with my new setup.
