[SuSE Linux] Failover / clustering for Linux?

Howdy, we are looking for software (pref. commercial) that will implement complete failover between two Linux servers (incl. filesystems). Does anybody know of any server that can do this? [SuSE Linux] .fetchmailrc needs tweaking

Hi, I've hit a road block. My isp is a cheap, no frills, no tech support isp. So I can't ask them. :-) Here is my rudimentary .fetchmailrc and the error message I get from the server. [SuSE Linux] fetchmail password failure

Hi, I've seen the light, and have seen what a nice package fetchmail is, and I've tried to set it up as suggested in the Offline-Mail howto. The problem I'm having is that my password is rejected. I tried pmail also, and my isp mail server rejects the password. When I send the user, it accepts, and requests the password, but the password is rejected. But it works fine with Netscape. What is the clue? [SuSE Linux] List of fonts in standard X windows

Hello, Is there a standard list for the aliases of the fonts available in X windows? I have an application that specifies its font as 'courB14'. It is not defined in my SuSE distribution, and when I added it to one of the fonts.alias file, it showed as 'courb14' using 'xlsfonts'. can someone direct me to the setup command to get printing one one letter sheet instead oof a half sheet. somehow i lost this setting and cannot find the correct place to reset it? [SuSE Linux] moving apps to different windows in FVWM2 ??

Is there a very simple way of moving app windows from one virtual window to another under FVWM2?? Everything I've been able to find that works is kludgy. I've checked the docs and nothing jumps out at me...but at least I avoid being startled. I have had something similar happen to me. But I did not find it a "BAD" experience at all. It involved the release of the Applixware Office suite and a full copy of 5.3 I ordered. SuSE was very helpful on the phone and gave me realistic dates to expect it and a sincere apology for the delay. They even split the shipment for me and sent out the 5.3 cd's. I think everyone must know that they pushed back the (re)release so as not to put out a bad product. I myself applaud SuSE for this and think they did the right thing. Even though I had to wait a bit longer. In my opinion they have a quality product and quality individuals. I am confident that if shieh(a)ms1.hinet.net were to call them he/she would receive the same courteous help and professionalism I received. Im glad too! I still say (for me) ther was no esier method then to use the fetchsetup. This message is from command line rather than pine.. sI mistakenly replied last nite re the fetchmailconf I realised afer thet the fellow was looking for the file referred to in the man pg fetchconf. In y excitement <g> I referred him to the fetchsetup. Hi all, I sent a mail to gIDE mailing list (gIDE is an IDE which make use of gtk) because when I run the gIDE binary version (compiled for linux) I get "can't resolve symbol ' _register_frame_info'". Besides I cannot compile gIDE from source. I installed in /usr/local the latest version of gtk and glib. I still have gtk which comes with SuSE 5.3. I receive a message from gIDE mailing list which says that this kind of error is related to a broken compiler used to compile libc. I'm pretty interested in your opinion about such a subject. After looking around quite a while in the discussion of the Linux-World i am confirmed that your problem is not caused by the gIDE-code itself. Result: !!! If you use egcs, switch to gcc-2.8.1 !!! gcc worked fine for me (with glib-1.1.5 and gtk+-1.1.5).
