I have never heard of any list, where you unsubscribed by sending to the list itself. Additionally, I have never heard of any list, where new subscribers did not get an e-mail with instructions on how to unsubscribe. And especially on this list, where every mail includes unsubscribe info, the only explanation for the many "unsubscribe", "remove" and the like _must_ be that the people sending them simply _can_not_read_! My question then is: If they can't read in the first place, WHY do they subscribe? How does one use the patches, updates and bugfixes section of the suse website. I have no idea about ftp-ing or the likes and I don't know what to do once I have the download. Could someone please fill me in on these basics. (the .bat-file in c:\loadlin\) Anyway, I would recommend to switch to lilo. If you use yast to configure it just remember that your windows should be the first if you want it to be the default. [SuSE Linux] slow telnet service.

Hi , Recently I 'm having problems to telnet to one of my machine on the local network. The machine responce it's very, very slow... any idea why, or could sombody suggest me what to check or how to debug the problem ? I recently disable all the services (a part from telnet) on my inetd.conf file since then the connection takes ages. I disable root access and created a new account which I use for telnetting the machine. Do I need to enable any package in conjunction with telnet?
