[opensuse] Need template for touchpad settings on 11.4

I screwed up and lost my touchpad setting for my Dell 1545 Laptop. I have deleted all the files I can find that affects it and reinstalled to no avail. No matter what I do I cant get the tapping back. The file I lost is /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf. The reinstallation of libsynaptics gets me a truncated config but no tapping. I have searched the world, even copied the similar file from Mint12 and Slackopuppy, but still cant get the tapping back. I also get an error when I try to use the touchpad apps. The error says there's no Option SHMConfig = 1 or true. And there is. Another error says it cant find the driver, but that error was there before I lost the file. I append one that (a) has tap to click, and (b) has middle mouse click by right top corner tap. This is meant to be used _in addition_ to 50-synaptics.conf installed by openSUSE. You can see if it has been loaded in /var/log/Xorg.0.log. There must be lines like [470846.342] (II) config/udev: Adding input device SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad (/dev/input/event3) [470846.342] (**) SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad: Applying InputClass "evdev touchpad catchall" [470846.342] (**) SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad: Applying InputClass "touchpad catchall" [470846.342] (**) SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad: Applying InputClass "touchpad tap to klick" and then further information about Synaptics configuration. Use the command "man synaptics" for further explanation of these options. If your problem is really with shared memory (SHM), then I can't help, though. [opensuse] Where to get packman public keys?

Hello, I am looking for the public keys of the packman repository. I checked on ftp://ftp.links2linux.de/pub/packman/public-keys.asc and ftp://packman.links2linux.de/pub/packman/public-keys.asc but both hosts dont seem to accept ftp traffic. [opensuse] HP Pavilion G7 video

Hello opensuse 12.1 is not recognizing the video built into the AMD processor on the HP Pavilion g7-1358dx. It had no problem with my other HP laptop with a similar CPU/Video config. [opensuse] oS 12.1 does not shutdown from session/vt 8

Hello: I have openSUSE 12.1 with KDE 3.5.10. systemd is used. The system does not shutdown if a user from a desktop/session/vt > 7 tries to turn of the machine. Turning off the system from vt 7 works OK. An example: user1 logs in to session/vt 7 (default) then switch user > start new session starts a new session (vt 8) user2 logs in to the new session vt8 in the meantime user1 logs out from vt7 user2 tries turn off the computer when logs out from vt8 the system does not turns off If ctrl+Alt1+F1 or Alt+F1 is pressed the shutdown process completes. [opensuse] S/MIME certificates in kmail2

Hi, I got myself a couple of certificates from Comodo. In Thunderbird, everything works fine. When I try to use the certificates in kmail2, it doesn't work. What I do is: Go to Settings -> Configure Kmail -> Identities. Select the identity, then choose Cryptography. Then click Change on S/MIME certificate. In the window it shows the right certificate based on the email address with a key with question-mark icon. When I click on it, nothing really happens except that the key with question-mark becomes a key with a red X. No error message, no info, no nothing. Kleopatra didn't/doesn't complain about the cert now/when I imported it. Again, the same cert works flawlessly for the same email address in Thunderbird. Every time I open up a terminal window it's opening as wide as my screen. What is the method to stop this automatic widening? When I close Adobe Reader - either by the "X" from the window decoration or by File->Exit - the process acroread eats up 1 CPU core forever, no matter what PDF file I used, no matter if acroread was started thru Thunderbird or from an xterm. [opensuse] What the reason behind the Mozilla "version race"?

Guys, Lew, Does anybody have any understanding about why Mozilla sees fit to race forward with version numbers on what seems like an every other month pace? We enjoyed firefox/tbird version 2.x-3.x for what seems like years, yet we have raced from 3.x - 14.x in the blink of an eye. Anybody know why? I understand how version numbers work, major/minor milestones, build numbers, etc.., but I'm just curious if anyone has the scoop on why we've jumped from 3-14 in such a short period of time - relatively speaking. -- David C.
