[opensuse] Dovecot/Sieve & Thunderbird question

Hi, I recently activated sieve on Dovecot. It works fine except that the client (Thunderbird) behaves strange (I think). A number of mails is automatically sorted in folders, serverside. When I look at my mails with Thunderbird, my INBOX has the mails that did not match the criteria, but the folders seem not to have new mail. When I click on a folder, TB checks if there are new mails and indicates this by making the name of the folder bold. Is this normal behaviour ? I would expect TB to check every subscribed folder for new mail and change the name of the folder accordingly, without the need to click on the foldernames. I tried TB 2 and TB 3. Is this some configuration error ? TB or Dovecot ? Downloaded the newly released kernel update for 11.2. No problems at all either with that or with the obligatory reinstall/recompile of the nVidia propriety run package 190.53. Good call. [opensuse] nVidia MCP61 Ethernet (rev a2) "No configuration found" boot message

Please help! I just purchased a new computer, and tried to install my existing 10.2 SuSE. But the Internet Test failed and I saw the above boot message. I don't have room on my old computer to download 11.2, and the box is still not available here in North America. Is there any way to get MCP61 to work with 10.2? Can I add another ethernet card -- one that 10.2 does recognize -- and disable the MCP61? Can I configure the MCP61 with Yast? Do I need to install the forcedeth driver? If so, how? Is the MCP61 onboard device supported in 11.2? [opensuse] new kde 44 dialog - virtuoso -t converting nepomuk database -- what is it doing -- how long should it take -- do I kill it?

Guys, I know the database is being converted, but what is the new new now? 'virtuoso -t' is burning up cpu doing something. Is it a good thing? I'm just happy to see nepomuk run. Past couple of releases, it just shutdown all the time. Is it still nepomuk or is it now virtuoso and what is the impetus for the change? How can we use it differently than we could in 4.3.xx? [opensuse] Flashplayer problem

OpenSuse 11.0, Firefox 3.0.17-0.1, flashplayer 10.0.42.34-2.1-i586 installed according to Yast, libflashplayer.so in /usr/lib/browser-plugins/ and in /home/andredo/.mozilla/plugins, as advised by Adobe. Yet I'm asked by Firefox to install Flashplayer every time when a player is needed. How do Isolve this problem? [opensuse] kde devs - What is the plan for the control panel (system settings)? It is a mess in 4.4 beta

Devs, Where is the system setting layout going? All I can do is shake my head and wonder WTF were the devs thinking??? In K3, you could change your style, window decoration and theme all logically placed under the "Appearance" section. Makes sense since they all relate to appearance. Up through 4.3 you set style and window decor under 'Appearance', have to rt-click the desktop to change the theme (because theme setting are not available in the control panel), and then go to 'Advance User Settings to change the details of the theme, but then leave details and go rt-click the desktop again to activate changes. Was somebody dropping acid when they came up with that?? Now in 44beta they have tried to bring the theme into the control panel, but have hidden it behind the second tab under style so to modify the theme you have to go the Advance user settings, (a complete different top-level section of the CP), change the them details, then you can't activate the theme settings there, you have to navigate back to Appearance -> Style -> 2nd Tab to activate the theme, and then to export the theme you have to go back to Advance User Settings -> Desktop Theme Details -> 'more' then export. WTF?? Wouldn't it have made more sense to put the desktop theme choice and activation as the 2nd tab under Advance User Setting -> Desktop Theme Details. Or, better yet, move the whole Advance User Setting -> Desktop Theme Details to tab 3 under Appearance -> Style right behind tab 2 where you choose the style? What's the deal with this stuff? Why to we have to hopscotch all over the panel to setup a theme? Next why is EVERYTHING being moved to advance user settings now. All other sections of the control panel are disappearing while the advanced user settings has grown into a mess of unrelated items? Why is it such a mess? This isn't a bitch or gripe, I truly want to know whether we are in some 'transition state' where it is understood things are going to look awkward for a while in system setting until things get put in there final place, or is that basically the 'final' state of system settings where it looks like things were just place willy-nilly in different areas because nobody has a plan for where they should go?
