[opensuse] Google Earth v5.0 Crashes System

OpenUuSE 10.3 on AMD 64 bit system. I wonder if anyone has successfully run Google Earth 5.0? I get the sp;ash screen and then the systed crashes to the user loging screen. -- Stephen P. [opensuse] Citrix client for openSUSE 11.1

I have just tried to install the 'latest' citrix linux client from citrix via an RPM. It requires /usr/lib/libXm.so.3, but 11.1 comes with /usr/lib/libXm.so.4. How have others sorted this? I need to access a web-based citrix server. Any advice on the best way on openSUSE 11.1? [opensuse] Handbrake

So, I'm wanting to transcode some DVDs and am getting bored with dvd::rip. I've heard a lot of good things about handbrake, but can't find a binary for openSUSE. Yes, I do do know how to compile from source, but it's my B-day and I'm being lazy (also don't want to try compiling code after a couple of beers). Does anyone know if there is an openSUSE binary for Handbrake? [opensuse] Dell laptop and openSUSE 11.1

I am so happy with 11.1 that I decided to install it on an older Dell Latitue X200 laptop. The install went smoothly until I got to the configure hardware section. I did not do my homework as well as I should have before starting the install or I would have known this laptop uses a display resolution of 1024x768. Instead at the original startup screen for the install I opted to use the 800x600 resolution that openSUSE had choosen. Needless to say but when I try to start X at 800x600 it blows up forcing a reboot. I am now at the point that I start up and go to init 3. From there I start sax2 but have so far been unable to get sax2 to use any resolution other that 800x600. I read the man pages for sax2 but didn't see a switch to force a specific screen resolution. I even deleted all of the xorg.conf files but sax2 still used 800x600 the next time I started it. How can I get sax2 to use 1024x768 to configure the xserver? [opensuse] Requesting name resolution from local DNS server fails after the recent nscd patch

Hi, After the nscd/glibc update today I'm unable to use dnsmasq to cache DNS resolutions: everything (ping, browsing) other than dig immediately returns an error. Adding the nameserver to /etc/resolv.conf makes everything work again. Has anyone else seen this? [opensuse] qps - Great System Monitoring app

List, Thanks to a discussion by Randall mentioning qps, curiosity got the better of me and I had to check it out. It is a neat system monitoring app that is somewhat a graphical combination of ps axf and top. What it adds that neither of its text mode counterparts does, is the ability to expand of close child processes in a code-folding manner. Neat app if you want to give it a look.
