[opensuse] Evolution Dying

I'm trying to see if I can switch from running Outlook to Evolution. However, I'm having troubles. First off, it seems to want to not authenticate me very often. I'll authenticate using my password, then it will suddently switch to offline mode. Also, when I click on the icon, about 2/3 of the time, it will not start. Thank you. Okay, now, in KDE, down at the bottom, you should have a little plug icon (or battery icon if you're not plugged in) - see attached. Do you have this? If not, it is KPowersave - make sure you have that loaded. [opensuse] VMware & 11.0 problem

Hi all! I'm trying to get VMware working on 11.0. BUT when I run the setup program I get this: None of the pre-built vmmon modules for VMware Server is suitable for your running kernel. Do you want this program to try to build the vmmon module for your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your system)? [yes] This should not happen, what am I doing wrong? BTW I'm useing "VMware-server-2.0.0-116503.i386.rpm". You took the latest updated version of kernel-source (probably as you just installed it today) but the update of the kerlen itself was never processed. Either select the older version of kernel-source in yast package manager or (preferred) make a complete online update to get the newest kernel installed. After installing a new kernel, you'll have to reboot the system. Hi all, I am learning how to use Netfilter/IPTables. I got active FTP going (Ports 20 & 21), but as soon as I logged in on an external FTP server and want to list the directory, I have no response. I have gathered that the problem is with the passice FTP mode it switches to. How do I cater for passive FTP with an IPTABLES command. I don't think it was zypper misbehaving here... it's 3rd party repo updating (once again) crucial packages, which are part of the distribution. This is almost always doomed to fail at one point in time. @PMs: I thought such disastrous things were known from Alsa updates in the past? Wasn't the rule in PM now NOT to have any lib as an update that existed in the base distro? [opensuse] No CD audio

Openssue 11 x86 64 with kde 4.1.2. I insert an audio cd and kscd starts but there is no sound. I have system sounds but not cd audio. See attached files for screenshots. How can i get the cd audio working?
