[opensuse] Intel G43 graphics

Just obtained an Asus P5QL-EM board which has the Intel Express G43 graphics onboard. Everything else on the board is fine, and it will work with "bog standard" graphics (ie 1280x1024 on a 22" screen....) Anyone know if there are any updated drivers/workaround to be able to get this working properly (3D), and hopefully be able to use Compiz etc? [opensuse] updater not working

suse 11.0 start here updater shows I have 33 security updates to download. I click install. I get a req for the root pswd, I enter it. Group, I went to update krdc from the factory repo today (I like the bookmark feature, and wanted it on my machine). Obviously it needed some new QT libs since this is 4.1.2 However, why did it require java-1_6_0-openjdk? here's what I go: sudo zypper in kde4-krdc Building repository 'QT' cache [done] Reading installed packages... The Mono repository seems to be giving me some trouble, on openSUSE 10.3 64 bit. If I refresh the repositories, I get: linux:~ # zypper ref Repository 'Main Repository (NON-OSS)' is up to date. Repository 'VideoLan Repository' is up to date. Repository 'openSUSE BuildService - Mozilla' is up to date. [opensuse] New Compiz 0.7.8-8 in X11:/XGL Works Perfect!

Mates, I have updated to the latest compiz in X11:/XGL and it works flawlessly, even boo-hoo emerald works fine. Install was accomplished by selecting the X11:/XGL repository and _disabling_ X11:/Compiz. After install, I deleted ~/.config/compiz (leaving ~/.emerald untouched from 0.7.6) and logging out and logging back in and starting compiz with fusion-icon. The packages installed are: 00:19 alchemy~/.config> rpm -qa | grep compiz compiz-fusion-plugins-main-0.7.8-3.2 compiz-0.7.8-8.1 compiz-emerald-themes-0.6.0-16.1 libcompizconfig-0.7.8-3.3 compiz-fusion-plugins-extra-0.7.8-4.1 compiz-kde-0.7.8-8.1 compiz-emerald-0.7.8-2.3 compizconfig-settings-manager-0.7.8-2.3 python-compizconfig-0.7.8-2.3 All works great. [opensuse] tablet summagraphics 1812

Hello, I just got for free a graphic tablet summagraphic 1812. Sax2 sees to know of sumagraphics, but not this model. I also have to make a serial adapter. But I don't know how this is supposed to work in Linux? I only used one, long ago, with Autocad. [opensuse] Web Based Java IRC Client

Hey list, I was wondering if anybody's ever thought about doing a web based java irc client to allow people to join IRC without a client? I know Ubuntu has one in place and recieves a lot of hits. Anybody know if this has ever been talked about? Are there bigger problems than i'm seeing with this? I'd take the time to look/code if you guys think it's worthy.
