[opensuse] kssh on openSUSE 10.2 ? Where ?

Hi all, kssh seems to have been dropped from the openSUSE 10.2 distro itself and the opensuse repositories... Is this known or someone forgot about it ? I've searched this lists archives and found no reference to this utility . Am I the only one to use it? [opensuse] Crazy mouse

I seem to lost partial control of my mouse. I' m using Opensuse 10.1 with a Logitech optical USB mouse. It seems to have an attraction for the lower left side or the upper right side of the screen. [opensuse] Memory Stick Mounting

Is there any good way to 'bump start' usb memory stick mounting in suse 10.1? I know sometimes it takes time for it to show up, thats ok, but if your in a hurry to grab a file it can be a pain. Hello, When my machine (SuSE 10.1) : Linux version 2.6.16.27-0.6-default (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 4.1.0 (SUSE Linux)) #1 Wed Dec 13 09:34:50 UTC 2006 runs for a while (at least a week) I'm not able to run yast anymore. Both from the command line and from the GUI. the commandline mentiones : /sbin/yast: line 233: 7147 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base menu ncurses $NCTHREADS I saved logfiles, screenshots, hardware profiles and the likes, but i first wanted to ask if someone had the same thing also. When I tried to install something with or update CPAN I also got an SEGV. and FireFox sometimes breaks down unexpectedly. [opensuse] remote access BUG in 10.2 can others confirm, and what wuold be fix?

its happen now twice (my two and only installs of opensuse 10.2 on two separate machines). the remote management (Xvnc), when turned on, then you access from the client, you get the grey weave X screen but no login box or anything, just X, no window manager or standard GDM start up. I google'd and the standard fix is put a win. mgr. in the .Xvnc or .vnc file, but I don't think that is the fix, as the graphical greeter of a Suse install is before you have decided on what user would log in, and there is no such file on /root ...... and this certainly seems to be a bug as it never happened to me on many pasted versions of SLED openSuse, etc. help!!!! .... -tl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe(a)opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help(a)opensuse.org

[opensuse] How to make screensaver NOT to turn off screen.

Hi I'm new to openSUSE and linux as such. I have a problem with energysaving settings for my screen I _Don't_ want the screen to shut down , but to have the screensaver running _All_ the time. How do I accomplish that. [opensuse] Running a java -jar app in 10.2

I,m trying to run JBidWatcher.jar and it requires JRE-1.5 , java -jar The only JRE-1.5 I can find in Suse-10.2 is a /windows/C/Program Files/Java/jre1.5.0_01. Ineed a command like: java -jar /home/mickey/JBidWatcher-1.0.jar . how would i run this with the path to 'java' command?? I was attempting to do a network-based install via the mini iso but factory package list failed checksum (204.152.191.39/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/)and dumped me. I know the default is picked at install time, I just checked my machine and found it installed 'bigsmp i686', the machine is a single P4 1.5G , I wonder if this is causing me some of my little problems like my usb troubles??
