[opensuse] Cannot find novell-novell-ipsec-tools rpm

I have been trying to find a open source vpn client to connect to Nortell vpn server. I ran across some references to turnpike and dependent rpm can be used to connect to Nortell vpn server. I download turnpike and novell-nortelplugins, but I had a dependency issue of novell-ipsec-tools. I am unable to find an rpm for novell-ipsec-tools. Where can I find novell-ipsec-tools >= 0.6.1 ? tcpdump ?

Hi, I monitor an application where my java client talks to a remote server. So far I got tcpdump to dump everything that comes from the server into a file. That includes a lot of network noise besides of the pure content. I suppose that are protocol informations. Is there a way to strip all the tcp/ip stuff off and get just the payload? Maybe there is another sniffer that manages this task better?

SUSE 10.0 boot problems

Hi all, After some electric power supply problems leading to several hard reboot, my test Suse Linux servers fails at rebooting. It holds some data I would like to recover. The error message at normal booting reads: Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on hda2 hda2 is a plain old disk where some problems could be expected. Please, before messing in the problem without a clear idea about how Linux deals with this issues, could you post me in the right direction to work out this problem and bring up again the computer? I'm guessing I could address the problem by removing the disk, I've not tried that, but is there any option not implying plugin/unplugging components? Machine won't post

I ran /usr/bin/switch2nvidia on my 10.0 desktop yesterday (hoping to enable 3D support) and rebooted. Now the machine won't post. I added a PCI TV tuner 4 days ago and it rebooted fine then. I've looked at the script and all it seems to do is change 'nv' to 'nvidia' in Xorg.conf. On the face of it I don't see why this would cause my system not to post. But this is the only thing that has changed. I need help getting this machine back online as soon as possible. Thanks, Jerome

Wrong group, but I give it a try. I am running SLED 10, and try to get Picasa to run. I have got it installed, but it will not start. If I start it from a term, I get no messeges. Gunnar

Anyone have an answer as to why everything from suse-linux-e(a)suse.com labeled SPAM? Each reply to a reply then has an added SPAM (e.g.: SPAM: Re: SPAM: Re: [SLE] Protecting ...) Any fix available? StephenW

DNS Help

This isn't a Suse question specifically but I'm hoping that someone on here can help. I've got a major problem with authoritive DNS; Several ISP's are reporting that they can't see my name servers or pull information from them. I can't see why they're having a problem, wondered if any kind chap with 5 mins to spare to test to see if they can identify the problem from their end as no ISP is being co-operative in helping me resolve this. My Domain is dreamconspiracy.co.uk My name servers are alycidon.firstnet.net.uk, ballymoss.firstnet.net.uk & crepello.firstnet.net.uk If I send an email out I'm getting told that my domain does not exist. For example sending an email via Tiscali: kasumi:~ # telnet mx5.uk.tiscali.com 25 Trying 212.74.100.150... Connected to mx5.uk.tiscali.com. Escape character is '^]'. 220 mail-10.uk.tiscali.com ESMTP Service (7.3.110.2) ready HELO test 250 mail-10.uk.tiscali.com mail from: <test(a)dreamconspiracy.co.uk> 451 <mail(a)scottriley.co.uk> unable to verify address Connection closed by foreign host. Now I can receive mails OK from most places (I'm getting mail from this list). DNS Stuff states that it should work too. Every domain that uses those name servers is having this problem but I'm at a loss as to specifically what's wrong. If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it. Regards Matthew
