New Postfix builds for SuSE with MySQL.

Latest Freeradius for 9.3 dependencies

Instaling Quake

Hi Everybody! I am tring to install Quake 2 in my Suse 9.1 machine so I have downloaded the quake2-3.20-6.i386.rpm and quake2-3.20-glibc-6.i386.rpm files, but it need a lot of others files to work (libglide2.so for example) and I cant find the. There is somebody that already instaled Quake 2? Can someone help me? Thanks Adilson

I've got it working on a clean install on a different box. It must be something wrong/old/stale from the box I was working on. Question on migrating - /home

Hi all, I know it is recommended by many to always make a separate mount point for /home. However, I notice that in migrating from suse 8.2 to 9.3, the mail folders in kde have changed from /home/user/Mail to /home/user/.kde/share... How does suse/kde handle this if I keep my same older /home dir as is from the 8.2 install, but access it from the 9.3 install? TIA Jim Flanagan linuxjim at jjfiii dot com

GTK update question

I compiled new versions of atk/glib2/gtk2/pango in order to start checking out the 2.3 series of the Gimp. Everything went fine. I removed the old atk/glib2/gtk2/pango RPMs along w/their respected devel RPMs. I then make installed (via checkinstall) all the new GTK and friends, so I now have lovely round RPMs of each package installed. Now I compiled Gimp 2.3.0, and, yet again, all went well. However, when I run YAST now, it insists on reinstalling the old GTK (and friends) devel RPMs. Of course, I don't want to do that as the new header files are already installed. The RPMs I created (with checkinstall) contain the header files. The RPM packages just weren't broken out into 2 RPMs per package (i.e., binary RPM and devel RPM) like SuSE and other distros tend to do. Any tips on this dilemma? Thanks for reading, Eric P Ps.
