Postfix w/ sasl for remote relay auth

I'm trying to configure Postfix to work with sasl2 in order to authenticate users for relay. I'm having a hard time getting it to work. Ideally, I would like to authenticate against the local system accounts using via PAM using saslauthd. Currently, I think it's configured to use /etc/sasldb2 however, I have tried to use various methods with no success. I have been reading various docs, faqs and read me files for the last three days but there is something I am just not doing right. Currently, postfix seems to be enabled for authentication but attempts to authenticate are met with failure. cdrecord failures

Gnome Oddities...

Running ULB Gnome on 9.0 Pro... ::First Oddity:: I have two partitions that I mount as /home and /data (in addition to / and /swap). When I reboot the machine, I get four icons on the Gnome desktop: /home, /home(2), /data, and /data (2). To get rid of the *(2) icons, I must logoff (being sure to select the "Save current setup" tickbox) and then login again. ::Second Oddity:: After logging in, pressing the logout button on the top panel does nothing. I find I must first open a Nautilus window, and then the logout button functions just fine. If I press the logout button multiple times before launching a Nautilus window, after launching a Nautilus window I get multiple logout dialog boxes. These are not show stoppers, but they are annoying. Any ideas where I should be looking to fix this? Thanks! Mark P.S. X and keymaps/codes

I've run into real problems.. I should run Reflection X server on my Windows box to connect to Linux, but I can't get the keys to work correctly. When I look in xev things look right, at least some of them. I have Swedish keymap and of course a Swedish keyboard. So my @£${[]} and \ are mapped to <alt-gr> buttons. However, none of them works in Reflection, when running xev I see that when I press <alt-gr> I get the mapping to "Mode_switch" which is correct. But it doesn't modify the keys, so nothing shows up when I f.x. type <alt-gr>-4 to get a $. Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this? Anders.
