I would suggest using SuSE's source RPM for apache (it's in the zq1 series). It has everything set up for apache + mod_ssl. All you have to do is download the appropriate module from modssl.org, comment out the 'NoSource:' directive in apache.spec, and rebuild. They have the '$RPM_OPT_FLAGS' set up correctly in the spec file, so if your ~./rpmrc file is valid, the '--target=i686' qualifier should work correctly. [SLE] properly setting up an admin account

Are there any recommendations on properly setting up a admin account? I don't want to always have to use su to do things with the computer and yet i don't want to be able to mess with some of the more important files. Basically i'm looking for something that can start and stop services, mount stuff, do a little user/group admin and check logs. Hello, Installed the SuSE version of junkbuster (ijb-2.0-117), and now cannot view any Russian language websites that use ISO-8859-5 encoding - only KOI-8 encoding comes through. Thanks for your input Juergen, I understand it can be a tricky path to track what's trigger the dial out, so I decided to let it rest for now and just fall back to the modem on my workstation, and skip the dial out server for now. [SLE] how do I get colored ls output when su

What is the proper way to change the defaults to get a colored output from ls when I am su?
